We went out to the 1/8th mile track last weekend to do some more dialing in of the Turbosmart eBoost2 controller. You can see one of the minor problems we were having that was slowing the car down. Target boost was 24 # and while it hit that quickly and maintained it, we were getting a small boost spike at each shift that was triggering an overboost shutdown. A small tweak and we are avoiding the shutdown now. 8s here we come!!

Also, you can see how great the Forced Induction Interchillers cooler did at maintaining IATs. Ambient temp was 65° for this run. Even after the burnout, the IAT was 15° below ambient and at the end of the run had only raised 30° total to 15° over ambient!

Transformation Tuesday!

Almost exactly one year ago today, she was coming out of a Copart junkyard on a front loader. Hard to believe it’s the same car!

A final piece of the fabrication puzzle got done today. When we installed the ZL1 rear end, it necessitated removing the spare tire well. Unfortunately, this left a large open area that air could get trapped instead of getting out from under the car smoothly at speed.

So, another trip to Blue Fire Motorsports today and voila... a custom fabricated panel to fill the gap between the cradle and rear diffuser. It’s under the car so we’ll probably just leave it in the raw aluminum.
