We are dealing with another issue involving a Ford, this time related to a coolant leak. While the repair may seem simple, it is often more complicated. The EcoBoost 3.5 engine is prone to leaks from the coolant turbo lines, and the engine's design can make repairs more labor-intensive than expected. I’ve been super busy again and grateful for all the support. I have also upgraded the shop tools and I’m now able to diagnose and repair the new 1234yf refrigerant vehicles. So if your air conditioning isn’t quite cooling properly make an appointment to get it checked out!

One of my favorite things about making automotive repairs is coming up with new and more cost effective ways to repair the vehicle. We had a vehicle that had an a/c problem where the evaporator and drier were freezing up. After a little diagnostic we found the evaporator temp sensor was not reading correctly. It was telling the computer the evaporator temp was 150 degrees. This was causing the compressor to not cycle and was causing the freeze up. The repair process is to remove the dash and the evaporator box open it up and replace the sensor. The dash had had multiple cracks and was very fragile. So I offered a solution. We removed the upper and lower glovebox and the passenger airbag and was able to access the connector. Then was able to drill an access hole in the top of the evaporator box and fish the sensor in and out. We were successful and was able to seal the box back up. This process saved the customer tons in labor cost and the dash didn’t have to be disturbed. Now the A/c is blowing cold continuously. We try to offer an option when available to save you money.
