2018 navigator with 3.5l Ecoboost. The newer Ford motors have an issue with the locking pin in the phaser breaking and allows uncontrolled movement which in turn causes a rattle noise. Ford now has an updated version of the phaser that is supposed to correct this. When replacing the bad one go ahead and do all four. Refer to bulletin # 20-2166.

Update on the sn95 1998 mustang:
Been working on some odds and ends, passenger door is now operational with a working window, lock assembly and actuator. Found another drivers mirror and replaced the broken one. Got the brakes flushed and bled working normally with new pads all the way around. Got the air intake pipe secured. I even went to the junkyard and found black interior panels to replace the light grey ones. Black console and passenger inner door handle. Got all the lights working including brakes and shifter. Brake sensor was not working thanks to a broken wire I found and fixed. Although the shifter still sticks a little in park, gotta figure out why. All in all, add registration and insurance it would be driveable. Now gotta work out all the cosmetics 😎

Haven't had a chance to work on the black(kinda) mustang in a little bit. But I got everything done early today and managed to get it back on the lift. I noticed a while ago that the rear end was leaking at the cover so I wanted to seal it. I noticed the sealant was not factory and the whole rear had been painted. I had a theory something might have changed inside. Low and behold I found heavier limited slip clutches and a set of 3.73 gears! (Iykyk).

She runs. Gotta work out some details like a very weak fuel pump. Hopefully she will be getting paint and the interior cleaned up. Planning some basic maintenance like brakes also, gotta be safe lol. And don't knock on my video too bad, lol, I'm learning. 😎

Got the wiring, accessories, and fluids except for oil and filter in tonight. Hopefully when I do the final checks tomorrow night and put the oil and filter in it will run decently. That's the bad part of using used parts, the variable of not knowing if they are in good shape. A lot of time, effort, and money for it to not play along.....

Got the underneath stuff all secured and a lot of the top. Hopefully not much longer she will be ready to fire!
