This is an example of why you should have your frame coated with an oil type undercoating. This is a section of frame rail where they meet to pieces together. The salt and water get between them and rot from the inside out.
Rust belt life.

So you bought an F150 with an aluminum body so you don't have to deal with rust, they do still have a steel frame. Here is a few pictures and a video in the comments of a 2015 F150 with under 80k on it. So it's an 11 year old truck, not driven hard and low miles for the year and the frame needs to be repaired. This is why you should do what possible to prevent this if you already own a vehicle and if you are looking to purchase a vehicle it is important to have a inspection done before buying anything by your trusted garage. I will bet that when I cut this open I will find a pile of crap laying in the bottom of the frame rails. I will be adding some sort of drains there so it doesn't happen again. I will be coating this frame with woolwax after its repaired. If you are interested in getting yours coated to prevent this I will be looking to start doing them again by the end of June.

I did send the inspection reminders out 2 weeks ago for this month. My inspection reminder function must have changed some with the last few updates on my system. For some reason it only allows me to reply by email instead of text, which is how it sends out the reminder. I did catch this for a few of them but not sure how many didn't get a reply. I can hopefully get this fixed this week some time. I was not aware of this for a few of the replies that I found out about this week. I am not sure If anyone got a reply to confirm their appointment so if you got a reminder this month, please call for an appointment for your inspection.

It's past the first week of February. So 2/26, 3/36 & 4/26 inspections can be done now and will expire that month next year. So, you do not loose time off of your inspection. For those who don't know that.

02/11/2026

During this year, if you had done your yearly state inspection with me in 2025. The invoicing system will send a text reminder that it is due soon, if I have your cell number in the system. It does prompt you to click a link for an appointment. I have no way of changing the message at all that I know of so you can inquire about an appointment with that, but most like to stop by or call for an appointment. Also, when this was set up last year when I started using it, the reminders were set for 11 months from the date of the inspection. So, it may not be out the month you get the notice. just hoping it helps customers to not forget their inspection is due. I did since adjust it to 12 months, so next year you should get the reminder a year from the last inspection.
