Pioneers of the front Dropmember system, Porterbuilt redesigned the way C10 truck owners update their front suspension. Porterbuilt suspension systems are designed to lower the stance, increase ground clearance and improve overall handling and performance. Designed as a bolt-in crossmember assembly, Porterbuilt Dropmember kits drastically change the stance and performance on your truck. Features include: modular motor mounts, utilizes stock or tubular A-arms, rack and pinion steering, and your choice of airbags or adjustable coil-over shocks. Benefits include: narrowed track width, improved suspension geometry for better handling, and most of all that killer stance. We currently offer the front Dropmember in the following stages: Mild, Touring, and Extreme. Numerous rear suspension systems are also available from Porterbuilt. Some behind the scenes engineering images of what went into the 1965-72 Ford F100 Level 3 Dropmember kit we posted up being welded yesterday. Before any design work even begins, we scan the factory frame, cab, bed, and front clip. This gives Nate accurate data, measurements and a starting point to start customizing the front Dropmember and rear Backhalf kit to fit the customers components, including his 2x4 frame rails plus his wheel and tire combo. Once the design is complete, he starts to export all of the individual components for manufacturing. This includes cut specs, bend specs, and weld specs for each part. After that, the actual manufacturing begins and every piece is hand checked for accuracy against the design specifications.
