SWIPE TO SEE ALL OUR PHILLIPS SCANNER WRAPS FOR Phoenix Children's Hospitals!
These scanner wraps have been getting a LOT of attention online, the comment sections get a little crazy, so I'm going to clarify a few things for both the over-opinionated keyboard warriors AND people that have genuine questions about how to pull this off.
1. We used our regular vehicle wrap film, Avery Dennison Graphics 1105EZRS with gloss lamination. We verified with both Avery Dennison and the Hospital that this film would be adequate for this type of install.
2. The vinyl wrap is typically 3-5ml thick, it does not affect the movement, function, or use of any parts of these machines. That includes the telescoping arm on the X-Ray machine.
3. The Hospital consulted with their Phillips Technicians to have these devices approved for wrapping, along with a whole chain of command within the hospital infastructure. We also did our consulting directly with our film manufacturers before hand.
4. Per the consultation with Phillips we were advised of any sensors or areas that could not be wrapped. What IS unique about these wraps is that we did wrap all four sides AND the internal tube, which I havent previously seen done.
5. The wrap has a gloss smooth top layer that can be disinfected with Hospital-grade cleaners, just like ANY other surface in the room.
6. All hardware and panels are trimmed out individually, meaning Phillips technicians can work on the machines at any time, without the wrap obstructing them. The wrap does not void any warranty of these machines.
7. The hospital has reported ZERO issues with any of the machines since being wrapped, with the first CT Scanner being done nearly three years ago, and the newest one just several months ago.
8. And YES, I would LOVE to do some hyper-realistic wraps to ease adult patients through these medical procedures as well!
If your Hospital needs some device or room graphics, we would love to help! Send them some of our many posts on these Phillips Wraps and help us get the word out there!
