we kept pushing the axle off taking on new jobs but it wasn’t fair so we moved this one into the slot this week to get him back on the road!!!

In the last two weeks alone we have encountered two seperate “high flow cats” be an issue. Tis the days where these were made well and worked as they should. I used to love these things as they would tame the loud noise and barely lose anything in these power ranges.

We just finished a 416 car and picked up 46rwhp across the whole top. After the first pass and realizing it wasn’t making 500 as expected we temped the cats. They were still 200+ degrees more than the headers were several minutes after the run. So we opted for the off-road version.
Last week 79 rwhp on a supercharged car!!!!!
This is bigger than losing power guys. This is an excessive exhaust clogged pipe issue that causes knock. Which can be detrimental to your engine! These were new and folding up into themselves. No Bueno.

Both of these sets had less than 15 street miles and it just a couple Dyno runs on them.

Big thanks to both of these great customers. One from Macomb county and the other all the way from one of the most southern Indiana cities.
Frank with the silver car treated us to a trunk full of sodas because we are a bunch of fat kids here.
Brian from Indiana even had these sweet valve cover brackets made to represent!

Last week the whole team hustled to make some long standing projects come to a close.
Zach’s car we have had all winter for the 416 upgrade, headers, exhaust, flex fuel, fuel pump etc etc.
we got the engine back from machining a couple weeks back and squeeked it up into our already busy schedule. We had oil pressure last night and made some sweet sounds!

Egged the crank out enough a new balancer won’t keep a belt on. Such a shame.

Complete tear down. Crank swap and reassemble over a simple bolt!
I would be very upset over this if I was the customer!!!

But of course it waited to ruin itself until after it was back together with zero sign. Zero noise. Such a shame. These new engines are just so problem ridden.
Anyways. We get the new engine All switched over. Put it on the hoist and the coil spring broke! Thank god it didn’t while driving.
Go to start it. Maxi fuse blown. One thing after the other.
Gotta love the job sometimes. I guess it could always be worse!
