1998 camaro (and pcm) now with 462rwhp 11:1 pump gas 383 Ls with cnc ported 243 heads. 4,000 FTI stall converter and 3.73 gear.
High flow kooks cats and a magnaflow. Sucker is mild sounding but mean!

Joel hammered down. I handed him tools and cleaned some stuff. Spring in pump. Fluids topped off.
Applebees half off appletizers smashed.
Now this Fresh 383 Ls is ready for the Dyno tomorrow.
It’s so tame with high flow cats and this magnaflow muffler.

If you ever wonder why your mechanic is always so grouchy. Read here. 🤣

Just imagine putting this shiny engine together and in a car. Triple checking everything that you have done. 50 or more hours of work total.
Only to have melling forget the pressure relief spring for the pump right out of the box!
Now we have used thousands of these over the years. We learnt today! Check everything.
8 more hours of labor right down the drain!

These days it is not only doing what we need to do. It’s also re engineering and double checking all of these manufacturers work. In this case. We love this company and have had great success with them. But a simple error that rolls down to the installer can cost us thousands of dollars in shop time/materials. Pushed back schedule. And in some cases damaged parts.

It’s not all unicorns and rainbows around these parts!

It has been many years since the release of these and a ton of guys did them before I have but dang does it still impress me 10 years later.
Cam, cam kit, long tube headers, intake manifold, throttle, an air intake, and a little key board punching. What a time to be alive!

BTR 225 camshaft, msd atomic, 103mm throttle, rotofab intake, some fresh trunnions, and comp 850 lifters. This thing fresh off the hoist layed down 515-519rwhp on 93 octane and safely spinning 7,000 rpm. 🤘
