This week, we’re celebrating FIVE YEARS with Donna! 🎉

Donna is our Lot Attendant at Springfield and brings so much warmth and kindness to the shop. If you’ve had your vehicle serviced at Springfield and needed a shuttle ride, odds are Donna was the friendly face who helped get you where you needed to go—and our clients absolutely love her!

From keeping the shop clean to lending a hand wherever she can, Donna is always willing to help and does it all with a great smile. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she has brought to Sun over the past five years.

Silas has been coming to work at Sun since he was just 8 weeks old, which means plenty of our employees have watched him grow up — and, as these photos make very clear, he’s never had any trouble finding someone willing to pause working and give him some attention. 😂

This Tech Tuesday, we’re celebrating the return of Elgin, who recently came back to Campus following paternity leave for the birth of his and Brooke’s second child! ☀️

Elgin and Brooke have both been part of the Sun family for five years, and in that time, we’ve had the privilege of watching them build a beautiful life together. We’ve seen them move to Oregon to work at Sun, get married, welcome their first child, purchase a home, and now become a family of four.

One of the most fulfilling parts of what we do is getting to watch our employees grow—not only in their careers, but in their lives outside of work, too. Seeing the people on our team succeed, build lives they’re proud of, and find happiness means more to us than we can say.

We’re thrilled to have Elgin back in the shop and even more thrilled for everything this next chapter holds for their growing family. Welcome back, Elgin—and congratulations to you and Brooke! 👏 .r.perdomo

Meet Halie, our new Lead Advisor at Oakway! ☀️

Halie recently moved to Eugene from Texas to be closer to family—and for more opportunities to hike. She even loves the rain, so we knew right away she would fit in perfectly here!

Since joining Sun, Halie has truly hit the ground running. She brings incredible energy and leadership to Oakway, and she and the entire team are absolutely rocking it. The atmosphere at the shop has been amazing, and the team is motivated, connected, and completely locked in.

We’re so excited to have Halie at Sun and can’t wait to see what lies ahead. Help us give her a warm welcome! 👏

This summer, Bella officially entered Sun Automotive’s Apprenticeship Program! 🎉

Bella has shown incredible drive, a natural aptitude for the work, and an eagerness to learn. After excelling during her first year in LCC’s Automotive Technology program, it was clear she was ready to take the next step. We’ve chosen to continue her education in-house, providing the hands-on training, mentorship, and support she needs to build a lasting career in the automotive industry.

Sun’s Apprenticeship Program was designed as an organized roadmap to help aspiring Technicians develop the knowledge and skills needed to earn their ASE Certifications. These certifications represent both technical expertise and a continued commitment to learning—two things we deeply value at Sun.

We believe pursuing a career in the automotive industry is meaningful, skilled work worthy of pride. By teaching the next generation the right way to do things and investing in their growth, we’re not only giving back to our employees—we’re helping build a stronger industry and better serve our community for years to come.

Bella is one of three apprentices currently moving through the program, alongside Izek at Junction City and Dom at Oakway. We’re incredibly excited to invest in each of them and grateful for the teamwork, mentorship, and dedication it takes to equip them for success.

To help Bella begin this next chapter, Craig set her up with her first toolbox and a collection of tools of her own. It was a meaningful way to recognize how far she has already come—and show her that we believe in where she’s headed.

Congratulations, Bella! We’re proud of everything you’ve already accomplished and can’t wait to see where this road takes you. ☀️👏

This week marked Erick’s one-year anniversary at Sun! 🎉

Erick is an Advisor at our Springfield location and has been such a stellar addition to the team. He fits right in, brings a great attitude every day, and sets an incredible example of what Sun culture is all about. Whether it’s a teammate or a client, he is always there to help.

If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Erick, you know exactly what we mean! We’re grateful to have him on our team and can’t wait to see what year two brings. Congratulations, Erick! ☀️👏

This week we're giving a shoutout to Trevor, our Diesel Technician at our Springfield location!

It's honestly hard to believe he's only been part of the team for a few months. From day one, Trevor jumped right in, fit seamlessly into the shop, and quickly became part of the Sun family. His work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in wherever he's needed make it feel like he's been here all along.

We're grateful to have you on the team, Trevor, and we're excited to see all that's ahead. Thanks for everything you do! ☀️

This week we're celebrating not one, but two birthdays! 🎉🥳

First, happy birthday to Shawn! As our Shop Operations & Technical Support Manager, Shawn is the guy behind the scenes helping keep all four of our locations running smoothly. Whether he's helping our technicians tackle tough diagnostics, solving problems, or keeping our shops operating as efficiently as possible, he's an essential part of what makes Sun Automotive what it is. We truly couldn't do it without him and appreciate how much he brings to the team.

And a (slightly belated!) happy birthday to Korey! 🎂 If you've visited one of our locations over the years, there's a good chance you've met him or had him work on your vehicle. Korey has worked at multiple Sun Automotive locations and has grown tremendously as a tech since joining our team. His dedication, willingness to learn, and commitment to doing things the right way embody the culture we strive to build every day. We're incredibly proud of how far he's come and grateful to have him representing Sun Automotive. If you're ever at our Campus location, be sure to say hi!

It's , and this week we're celebrating Bella! 🔧✨

Bella is one of our Technician Apprentices at our Springfield location, where she's been learning alongside Master Technician Kevin. If you know Kevin, you know he doesn't hand out compliments easily—which is why it meant so much to hear him say he's been "pretty impressed" with Bella's work.

From thorough vehicle inspections to consistently doing a great job on oil changes, Bella has been putting in the effort, asking questions, and building the skills that make great technicians.

At Sun Automotive, we believe people who are willing to learn deserve the opportunity to grow. Investing in the next generation of technicians is one of the best investments we can make, and Bella is a great example of why.

As Bella celebrates her one-year anniversary with Sun Automotive this week, we're proud of everything she's accomplished so far and excited to see where her career takes her. Keep up the great work, Bella! 👏🚗
