That HEMI tick wasn't going away on its own. 🔧
This 2019 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI came in with a pretty severe ticking noise. After tearing into the engine, the cause became obvious: multiple lifters had failed, and several camshaft lobes were heavily damaged.

Diagnosis beats parts swapping every time. 🔧
This Ford F-150 EcoBoost came in with an intermittent misfire and an injector circuit code. Intermittent issues can be frustrating because the problem isn't always present when you're testing.
A little time with the ohm meter quickly pointed us in the right direction. Fuel injector resistance specification is 11-18 ohms, and the injector on cylinder #3 was well outside that range.

Sometimes the difference is simply refusing to give up.
After being turned away by several shops for a transmission issue, this customer brought her Ford Flex to me. Other shops assumed it needed internal transmission work and didn't want to take it on.
After proper testing, we found the issue wasn't inside the transmission at all.
A damaged wire in the transmission harness was intermittently shorting a shift solenoid circuit, causing severe shifting problems and multiple gear ratio conflicts. The entire issue came down to a single wire strand contacting the valve cover after a previous repair.

🚗 2019 Silverado Diagnostic Success Story

This customer had already been to the dealership for recurring mass airflow sensor codes. The sensor was replaced, but the truck continued setting the same faults, had drivability issues, and kept turning on the check engine light.
Instead of throwing more parts at it, I started with diagnostics. The issue turned out to be high resistance in the LIN bus side of the MAF sensor circuit, causing the sensor to drop offline intermittently.
The harness was opened up, repaired correctly, and tested. No more communication issues, no more recurring codes, and this Silverado is back on the road where it belongs.
