The ceiling in this one is real tongue-and-groove cedar, not a printed panel, and you can see it in the way the grain runs from board to board. Every cabinet overhead gets its own LED strip built in, and the bamboo counters on either side of the bed are hand-fit around the framing, not just dropped in. What's the one material you'd never want faked in your build?

The Vansmith name is carved into the wood on this one, not printed on a sticker or bolted on as a badge. Cedar covers every wall, and the window lines up with the mountains instead of a parking lot. Little decisions like that do not show up on a spec sheet, but they are the reason a build feels finished instead of just complete. This is the kind of detail you notice on day one and are still noticing on day two hundred.
