Model PD2255 Pump Drive from Cotta is a heavy duty 4-station pump drive offered in either direct engine mount via SAE fl**ge, or independent mount. This unit has four identical output stations designed to accommodate Cotta pad kits in sizes from SAE B to SAE F, and various ISO and custom pads as listed on the spec drawing.

POWER: 1000 HP max input; 950 HP max at any output
MAX INPUT SPEED: 2200 RPM
MAX INPUT TORQUE: 2500 lb-ft
RATIO RANGE: reduction 1.143; overspeed 1.015, 1.177, 1.213

Model GO1900E Speed Increaser from Cotta is a single-stage increasing gearbox designed for direct mounting to industrial engines via an SAE fl**ge and driven in standard engine rotation (clockwise facing input shaft). This unit incorporates an idler shaft to provide output rotation same as input.

OUTPUT ROTATION: Same as input
MAX INPUT TORQUE: 7900 lb-ft
MAX INPUT SPEED: 2500 RPM or as otherwise limited by input clutch or coupling
MAX OUTPUT SPEED: 4800 RPM
RATIO RANGE: 1.76 to 3.54

Speed increasers multiply rotational speed at the output shaft. As output speed goes up, output torque goes down. This inverse relationship makes rating specifications different from those used for speed reducers. Three specifications determine whether a speed increaser matches your application. These are torque rating, horsepower capacity, and service factor.

Each one addresses a different aspect of gearbox performance. Selecting the wrong ratings leads to problems. Bearings fail early. Gears wear faster than expected. Heat builds up beyond what the gearbox can handle. The right specifications prevent these failures and extend service life.
