Advanced Autosports Specializing in building pro-built spec miata racing cars, race car prep, and on track support. Wheeler’s background has been everything from I.R.L. cars to I.T.

Dave Wheeler, owner of Advanced Autosports, has been involved in professional Motorsports since 1987. I started Advanced Autosports in 19997 to serve the amateur road racer with professional quality repairs and maintenance work, at an affordable price. cars. I started in open wheel Formula Atlantics and Formula Fords in 1987. In 1993 I began my long time association with the big ground pounders of the Trans-Am series. In 2000 Advanced Autosports supported the Orion Motorsports team in the inaugural season of the Grand-American Road Racing Series. Competing in the AGT Class, several podium finishes and two pole positions where the highlights. Since that time, Advanced Autosports has built more than 100 Spec Miata race cars and currently we maintain more than 30 cars for local drivers.

We had all the highs and lows of a MX-5 cup weekend. Started off with great pace and secured P1 and P2 in qualifying for both races thanks to a good team qualifying strategy and crazy pace by Matt Novak and Nathan Nicholson . Unfortunately we couldn't quite bring that home. A bunch of good finishes did move us up in points. Cam Ebben in particular had a solid consistent weekend and is clawing his way back into this thing. Prayers for a speedy recovery for Vaughn Mishko (and his racecar) who both suffered a minor concussion after a hard impact with the concrete wall in race 2. Congratulations to Ethan Lampe for a standout weekend. We still love you Ethan and look forward to seeing where your racing career goes next.
