What a good winters day to be out of the workshop fitting a new rear glass for this tractor! 🥶🌧️

We recently restored this 1964 Rambler 660 classic.
Great care was taken to preserve its originality, retaining the authentic patina finish to maintain the character it had when it emerged from storage.

The vehicle was fully stripped down, under body and interior floor pans were sandblasted, with all areas requiring attention repaired to meet panel certification requirements.
While the exterior was intentionally left with its original weathered appearance, the engine bay, inner panels, and underside were refinished to a high standard, giving them a fresh, factory-like appearance.

The engine was rebuilt by Hawera Automotive 1999 Ltd and finished in the original factory colours.

The entire running gear was refurbished and reassembled, with the engine bay and underbody presented as new.

New rubber seals were fitted throughout, and the interior received a comprehensive refresh, including new carpet installed by Customline Upholstery.

Thank you to Central Taranaki Automotive for sending the job our way and for completing the final mechanical work to get the vehicle running and driving as it should.

This is a truly unique and impressive vehicle, and most importantly, it now has one happy owner.

This Mustang has come a long way since it first rolled into our shop!
We fitted all-new rear panels and a new boot floor, along with custom rear wheel tubs to accommodate those massive rear wheels. The wheel tubs were designed so the rear seat and interior panels fit perfectly without requiring any modifications to the seats themselves.
We also extended the rear wheel arches and fitted 1967 rear quarter vents. For added strength, we modified and installed a rear panel from a convertible that goes between the boot area and rear seats. Not only does it provide extra rigidity, but it also ties in perfectly with the custom wheel tubs and looks good!.
To finish it all off, we tackled a number of smaller repairs and details throughout the rear of the car to bring everything together.
We can't wait to see this one all finished! 👌🏼.

Just in time for summer!, We’ve recently finished giving this Ford Mk3 Cortina a well deserved tidy up. The work included rust repairs to the front guards, bonnet, rear panel,And repairs to the left-hand rear quarter, which had taken a decent hit at some stage.
We also fitted all new rubbers and had R & R Mechanical complete a mechanical overhaul, including a new exhaust, brake upgrade, and a few other jobs to keep it reliable.
It’s come up great and is now ready for cruising!

One of the many major projects we’ve got on the go here at Taranaki Panelbeaters is this 1941 Dodge ambulance rebuild. We’ve just finished fabricating the left-hand side with new side panels and roof/gutter sections—big thanks to Chris at Rigs’n Things for pressing out the side panels using their brake press. Now it’s on to the right-hand side and the rest of the build! This one’s definitely been a fun job to do.
