A sentimental keepsake from a beautiful weekend spent in Arrowtown, in the company of over 500 spectacular cars.

19th - 21st February are the official dates for next year, so let the countdown to the 2027 Ayrburn Classic begin.

At the Ayrburn Classic we love giving the underdog a proper shot.

This year we had a very limited number of media passes and were absolutely swamped with seasoned professionals wanting in. Then along came Caleb Sanders — 17 years old, no credentials, no portfolio to speak of… just pure enthusiasm and the nerve to apply.

He lives in Christchurch, goes to Rangiora High School, and drove up Friday night after school in a car borrowed from his parents. Slept on the floor at a mate’s place. Lived off Up & Go cartons for two days because funds were tight. Spent about $250 on gas (his mum kindly sent him off with a full tank… and received it back on fumes) and about $30 on food.

He drove home Sunday night, walked in the door at 11:30pm and was back at school Monday morning. Then spent the week editing photos during his “non-important” classes.

And the result?

World-class images.

We couldn’t be prouder to have backed a young bloke with courage, hunger and drive. Talent is one thing. Grit is another.

Well done Caleb. The future belongs to people like you.
