Here’s a great car to answer a few of the questions we get all the time about **vinyl wraps**.

1️⃣**“How long will a wrap last on my car?”**

We wrapped this vehicle around three years ago, and as you can see from the photos, it still looks fantastic, almost like the day it was done.

Another question we hear a lot is:

2️⃣**“What happens if I have an accident, get a dent, or need a panel repaired or repainted?”**

This vehicle recently had a small incident. Fortunately, the paint wasn’t damaged. Once the bodywork was sorted, we removed the damaged section of vinyl and replaced it with fresh film.

Because we follow the correct **3M installation procedures** and keep the information from every wrap we complete repairs like this can be carried out years later without turning into a major job.

The result speaks for itself.

Three years on, one repair later, and the vehicle is looking amazing again.

We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. Hope you guys like it.

And regarding the new Sky Automotive workshop... yes, we’re already here and working!

It’s just not quite all in the right place yet 😅. There are still a few things to finish, the signage is still to come, and we’re continuing to get everything looking the way we want it.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes while still looking after our customers every day, and little by little it’s all coming together.

We’re hoping to have everything ready for our official opening on the 20th of October.

More to come.

A little update from 36 Nayland Road…

When we first posted that Sky Automotive was moving, we knew it was going to be a big job.

What I honestly didn’t expect was the amount of support we would get along the way.

Over the last few weeks we’ve had electricians, painters, plumbers, builders, plasterers, insulation installers, suspended ceiling guys, heat pump and air purification specialists, and plenty of other trades working some pretty crazy hours with us.

Some have been starting around 5am, others still going close to midnight, mainly because of the short notice and the pressure to get everything ready while we’re still operating.

But it hasn’t only been the trades.

We’ve had customers turn up with vans to help us move equipment, people helping us set up computers and printers, others helping move panels and whatever else needed doing.

Even our new neighbours have been coming in, introducing themselves and saying, “If you need anything, just ask.”

And of course our own team. Weekends, long days and still trying to keep customer work moving at the same time. It’s been hard work, but pretty amazing to see everyone’s commitment.

We always try to give people our best when they trust us with their cars. Over the last few weeks, it feels like a lot of those same people have been giving us their best in return.

We’re now operating from 36 Nayland Road, Stoke. We’re not quite at full steam yet while we finish the last parts of the workshop, but we’re getting there fast and hopefully everything will be completed by the end of this month.

The new place is already making a big difference, more space more carpark, better workflow, a better working environment for our team, and ultimately the ability to provide an even better service, work more efficiently and keep our pricing more competitive without compromising the quality of what we do.

To everyone who has helped us, worked late, carried something, lent us a van, solved a problem, stopped in to say hello, or simply continued bringing your cars to us…

Thank you. We genuinely didn’t expect this much support and we are very grateful for it.

Still plenty to do… but it’s starting to look like Sky.

WE'RE HIRING — FRONT OF HOUSE / SERVICE ADVISOR
Sky Automotive has just moved into our new premises at 36 Nayland Road, Stoke, and we’re looking for the right person to join us and take ownership of our front-of-house and customer service.
If you love cars, colour-code your life, and you're the type who spots the one detail that everyone else walked past — keep reading.
This is much more than a basic reception role.
You’ll be working from our new office, with a new computer and a fresh setup, helping keep the customer side of the business organised while the workshop team gets on with the vehicles.

Some days will be busy and you’ll have several customers, calls, vehicles and jobs happening at the same time — so being organised and able to prioritise is important.

The job:
🔹 Meeting customers and receiving vehicles (yes, you'll be handed some very nice keys)
🔹 Booking jobs in and keeping the diary.
🔹 Quotes, invoices and following up
🔹 Keeping front of house running smooth while the boys make paint shine

You'll fit right in if:
🔹 You actually like cars.
🔹 You're organised.
🔹 Attention to detail is non-negotiable. In this shop it IS the job — we measure our work in microns, not "she'll be right"
🔹 You're good with people, on the phone and over email
🔹 Reliable. You turn up, and you do what you said you'd do
🔹 Full NZ driver licence
🔹 No automotive experience? Sweet as — attitude first, we'll teach the rest

What's in it:
🔹 Full-time or part-time — tell us what suits you
🔹 Our new premises at 36 Nayland Road, Stoke
🔹 A small team that takes great pride in its work
🔹 PPF, ceramic coating, window tinting, wraps, cut & polish — no two days the same

Keen? Send your CV to [email protected], or flick us a PM and tell us about the best car you've ever owned.

SKY AUTOMOTIVE IS MOVING!

We're getting ready for the next chapter of Sky Automotive and we're excited to finally let you know where we're going:

📍 36 Nayland Road, Stoke

A bigger premises, more space, better parking and much more room to take Sky Automotive to the next level. We've got some big plans for the new location, and we genuinely think it's going to be amazing.

But first... we need to move! 😅

With no more hours left in the day and plenty still to get done, we're looking for a few good people to give us a hand moving equipment, stock, shelving and getting our new place ready.

We're working TODAY, TOMORROW and throughout the weekend
Paid casual work
A bit of lifting, moving, cleaning and organising

Even if you can only help for a few hours, we'd still love to hear from you.

And here's the good part...

If you've been thinking about getting your vehicle window tinted, we'll also have a very special moving-week deal available for the people who come and give us a hand.

We're also taking the opportunity to have a big clear-out, so we'll be selling a number of items that are now surplus to our requirements. Keep an eye on our page over the weekend — there may be some great deals to grab.

Want to be part of the move?

Send us a PM with when you're available and for how long.

And make sure you stay tuned — we'll be sharing more of the transformation at 36 Nayland Road very soon.

More space. Better parking. Bigger plans.

Sky Automotive, the next chapter is coming.

Fresh out of the shop and looking fresh.
This '06 Ford Courier came in for a decal strip, full cut & polish, and a headlight restore the difference speaks for itself. Old signage off, paint brought back to life, headlights clear as day.
Rzoska's been bringing their fleet through our doors for years now, and this is exactly why. One ute or twenty, every vehicle gets the same treatment.
She's all done and ready to go on the market. Whoever picks this one up is getting a truck that looks (and runs) the business.

04/07/2026

Fresh out of the shop this Shelby GT500 came through for a PPF repair, ceramic coating, and a full tint.
Stripes or no stripes would you have kept it subtle or gone bold like this owner did?

Let us know in the comments.

29/06/2026

At sky automotive we are your one stop shop for all of your car protection needs. If its tinting, ceramic coating, wrapping or full PPF protection we can do any or all of it in house with a amazing team and years of experience to help you choose what is right for your car.

25/06/2026

Not all window tints are the same.

A quality result comes from the preparation, the film, and the installation.

We take the time to properly prepare every vehicle, use premium films, and computer-cut patterns for a clean, factory-style finish.

No shortcuts. Just tint done right.

21/06/2026

A clean interior isn't just about looks.

Over time, dirt, dust, and grime build up throughout your vehicle.

An interior detail helps remove that build-up, protects surfaces from wear, and leaves your car feeling fresh again.

It's also a great way to reduce dust and allergens, making your vehicle a cleaner and more enjoyable place to spend time.
