Long time between posts but thought I’d share some photos of a recently completed job that was undertaken in the shop.
The customer wanted to remove the existing fuel filler from the deck of their 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup as to have a smooth seamless finish in the tray.
The solution was to remote access the filler in behind the tail light.
Happy with the finished result and no paint work required externally.

Some light at the end of the tunnel…

A few big days/nights over the last couple of weeks and a bit of chassis Tetris on Friday afternoon have seen the shop empty out a bit making way for the next round of repairs booked in as well as a run of new Clark Performance CP3 Midget Chassis.
With 12 Sprintcar and Modified chassis repairs in the last five weeks and more to arrive it was inevitable a purpose built work table would be required moving forward.
Measuring 11 X 3.5 feet and 5/8 inch thick our new table is capable of accommodating the bigger chassis with ease, this table alongside our purpose built chassis machine will compliment each other nicely allowing us more flexibility with chassis repairs and general engineering.
For any engineering requirements feel free to contact me via email: [email protected], phone: 021 239 1869, or in person: 29d Sir William Avenue, East Tamaki, Auckland. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 0900-1700 and Saturdays by appointment.

Been a bit slack with the updates, it’s been absolute Mayhem in the shop lately (pun intended)…
Last Thursday we ticked over 12 months in business, a minor milestone with a lot learnt that will help prepare me for the next 12 months moving forward.
Many thanks to all that have helped along the way, it hasn’t gone unnoticed and is much appreciated.
Attached are some pictures of an exhaust repair I completed recently that required the bottom drawer of the toolbox opened and some old hand tools getting a dusting off.

After a big crash a few weeks ago the 91c TQ of Ethan Smith sustained extensive damage.
A push here and a pull there followed by a nip and tuck she’s all but ready for action again. Glad we could assist in getting you back on track.

The shops been in full swing of late with very little time for much else, from chassis straightening and refurbishment’s to aluminium panel kits and workbenches it’s been all go.
We recently had the opportunity to repair a CP3 Midget chassis from Australia that required extensive work, the advantage of sending it back to NZ for repair is we were able to straighten, cut and weld it back to original utilising the same jigging systems that we build new CP3 Midget chassis from knowing the repaired car is point for point true and accurate before sending it back out on track.
If you require any engineering work undertaken feel free to make contact by way of email: [email protected], phone: 0212391869 or in person: 29d Sir William Avenue, East Tamaki, Auckland.

An unfortunate start to the Connor Rangi Motorsport/Daltons team last week, glad we were in a position to offer some assistance to allow them a fighters chance this weekend.
Good luck to all competitors across all classes racing this weekend. 🏁🏁

It's Race day! Night 1 Nz sprintcar title Western springs speedway. A massive week getting the car repaired and ready to race again. Huge thanks must go to Deon from DMA custom fabrication for the repair work and Tim Clark (Clark performance) for allowing us to work in his shop this week, two absolute legends! Thanks to daltons for all that they have done this week also and there continued support. Thanks to all our other amazing sponsors and supporters.
