This is massive! GTR Festival NZ to the world 🌎

BREAKING - New Zealand joins the international GT-R Festival line-up, and Hiroshi Tamura has been confirmed as the first major guest.

Huge news for Nissan and GT-R enthusiasts as Motive Video and Premier Events have officially teamed up to expand the GT-R Festival international footprint.

Adding New Zealand to the 2025 calendar alongside the Australian and US events is a move to bring increased global media coverage, high-profile guests and a greater showcase of iconic vehicles.

The first major guest confirmed for the 2025 event is Hiroshi Tamura, widely recognised as the "Godfather of GT-R." Tamura, a former Nissan chief product specialist instrumental in shaping the modern GT-R legacy, will attend the festival to meet fans, participate in signing sessions and take part in VIP meet-and-greet experiences for GT-R and Z owners.

Platinum Racing Products have been confirmed to extend its naming rights sponsorship to New Zealand, continuing its strong support for RB-powered engines across drag racing, drifting, time attack, and the street-car scene.

PRP founder Herman will also be attending as a special guest. Andrew Hawkins from Motive Video will also be on-site to cover the event.

PRP GT-R Festival NZ 2025, in association with Garage S Zero, Kora Fuel Cards, Star Insure and Prowear will take place on 7th June 2025 at Hampton Downs and is open to all Nissan and Nissan-powered vehicles.
