Engine swap carried out on this Jaguar, for this customer it worked out cheaper to buy a donor car, this car had less mileage so we swapped the complete running gear.

This car came into us with excessive smoke and oil consumption

We suspected the turbo was at fault, we used our camera to check the exhaust side of the turbo and as you can see in the video there is excessive oil in the turbo where it should not have got pass the seals.

This means a new turbo and a dpf filter clean as the oil has contaminated the filter.

⚠️ Intermittent faults can be some of the most difficult problems to diagnose.

This vehicle came in with a running issue that appeared only occasionally, making it tricky to track down. After carrying out diagnostic checks, we discovered the cause — a damaged wire inside the wiring harness.

When wiring breaks internally like this, it can cause intermittent signal loss to sensors and the ECU, leading to faults that appear and disappear without warning.

Instead of guessing and replacing parts unnecessarily, we traced the issue back to the source and carried out a proper repair to restore the wiring.
