🔧 Automotive Technician & Apprentice Required
FionnSport Automotive currently has the following positions available:

🔹 Positions Available
Qualified Automotive Technician or someone in their final year(s) of training
Apprentice Automotive Technician with a keen interest in learning and a passion for motorsport

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working on German and high-performance vehicles, including diagnostic fault-finding and repair
Have experience with modern vehicle diagnostics and electronics
Have strong knowledge of suspension and wheel alignment
Be computer literate with strong organisational skills
Hold a full, clean, and valid driving licence
Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship
Be willing to learn and keep skills up to date
Have good oral and written English
Have strong planning and organisational skills

🚗 Training & Development
Full training will be provided, with opportunities to gain experience in:
Engine building
Performance tuning
A keen interest in the following areas would be an advantage (but not essential):
Motorsport preparation
Event rally experience
Engine building
Vehicle remapping / dyno tuning
Good knowledge of BMW and MINI vehicles is an advantage.

Killarney Historic Rally 2025
What an unbelievable weekend for our little team. A 1st and 2nd in class for our first ever event with the newly built M3 — driven by the legend and rally champion Patrick Snijers alongside Davy Thierie — and our second car piloted brilliantly by Aidan Long.
What a result.
What an event.
What a crew. 👏
After weeks of limited sleep, late nights, missed family dinners, and nonstop graft, a vision and a dream finally came together. To everyone who stood beside us — friends, family, supporters — thank you. Cliona McSweeney you kept everything together when the pressure was highest. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️

Aidan Long has officially earned the title of team spokesman — the man practically worked a second job with the amount of organising, phone calls, and emails he handled.

simkunas, my sidekick, always working away quietly in the background getting things done. Outstanding.

Ross Mcelhinney , taking on everything from hardware runs to getting cars through scrutiny — incredible help.

I am truly humbled that we brought this car to the stages and completed its first event. Nearly everything — from engine building and wiring harnesses to tuning, fabrication, and setup — is done in-house. It’s challenging, but that’s what makes the work worthwhile.
