Tales of the trade. No.489321

Earlier this week we had issues with a van. Aircon was blowing lukewarm and the dashboard temperature control k**b wouldn’t twist to its coldest setting. Tim decided to start stripping the control unit expecting to find a fault but no all was good. Tracing the fault down to the air box and the blend control flap. This didn’t appear to want to switch from warm to cold. Fearing we may have a faulty airbox, Tim decided to get the endoscope camera out to see if he could find what was going on. Great tool this. And there it was was. Some form of an obstruction in the airbox rather than a part failure. Quite how the mechanics tool pick had managed to find its way all the way down there is beyond us but after a lot cussing the offending item was removed and everything worked perfectly. Tim now has an additional tool pick in his box 😉 look at that smiley face
