And there goes another one!!

First time pass club membership today for the latest go auto graduate; Klayton!

The sound of his lovely mum screaming down the phone with delight was a particular highlight of mine.

Klayton held his nerves and smashed his first test today in Wakefield and honestly it’s been a couple hours but I bet he’s still in disbelief.

Klayton has been hard on himself at times through this journey, he takes everything to heart but he’s remained resilient and powered through to get the result!

It’s been a joy to teach him, I’ve really enjoyed watching him come out of his shell and go from a shaking ball of terror to the lovely young man who talks my ear off about everything and anything. I’ll truly miss teaching him! Thanks for the laughs Klayton and best wishes in your newfound freedom!

Ps. Don’t forget to keep rubbing it in that your bothers both didn’t pass first time (with other instructors mind) 😉😉

I’ve had quite a few enquiries land in my inbox whilst I’ve been on holiday this week (I’m done with holidays now for the summer I promise!) I just wanted to answer a few general questions I regularly get:

First up, I just wanted to take a moment to politely reiterate my working hours. If you aren’t available inside these hours then I can only apologise but I’m unable to take you on.

These hours are fixed (with exception made for customers driving tests) as I spend the rest of the week home educating my daughter (thanks to the total lack of SEN high schools in the district thanks UK Govt).

As I am only able to work part time (Since last Sept for the next few years) availability is obviously tight. I genuinely wish I could help more people as I hate turning people away.

I post any upcoming available slots right here on my page. My slots are fixed meaning my students have their lessons on the same time and day each week for all round ease.

If you follow the page and you see a slot here that works for you, hop straight into the inbox to secure it, it’s then all yours until you pass your test.

If you’d like to be on my radar/wait list. Pop your availability and area into my inbox at your convenience. I then take note of these and if something comes up that works ill endeavour to message as well.

Happy Saturday!! Here’s some news for you! AVAILABILITY (but not with me).

Once again I have a PDI (potential driving instructor) this means TRAINEE instructor who has some availability for customers!

What does this mean? So a trainee instructor is someone who has completed the first two of the three qualifying exams to become a fully qualified/licenced ADI or approved driving instructor. PDIs are super fresh and raring to go and the best bit is that they’re still under constant training so you know you’re getting a good standard.

So introducing: DEBBIE! Debbie has previously been instructing for a national driving school for twelve months a couple of years ago.
She is now available for lessons as a trainee instructor and she has immediate start spaces for this coming week!

Pass alert for Lily!
A mere 16 days after her 17th birthday, I think that’s a new record for me.

Lily didn’t think she could do it today. I said she absolutely had the knowledge and skills to pull it off all she had to do was hold her nerves. Spoiler alert: she did!

You come to learn a bit about your students lives when you teach them to drive. Lily and her young sister are competitive dancers and her lovely mum drives her to dance several nights a week and sits in the car outside for sometimes up to 5 hours while they train.
Lily told me all about how she desperately wants to pass because she’s so grateful that her mum does that for her and she wants to be able to drive herself and her sister to their training and take that load off for her mum. How sweet is that?

She’s got herself a lovely little Skoda and she’s put her everything into giving it her best shot this morning, she’s been out practicing with mum, taken so many lessons with me this week that I ought to have moved in with them… but the dedication has paid off.

Congratulations Lily, you’ve truly earnt this. Drive safe 🩷🚗

Remember my deal with my students? I’ll go to work on my day off ONLY if they promise to pass their test 🤣

Mission accepted. Mission accomplished.

Huge congratulations to Charlie absolutely smashing a first time pass at Wakefield this morning 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Some credit where it’s due to my good friend Rob Vause as Charlie initially started out with Rob in his manual tuition car and got a lot of the foundation to his driving from Rob.

Charlie made the switch to automatic and myself as he is Deaf and he was struggling to respond to the engine in manual due to being unable to hear it.

Switching to automatic made life easier sure but switching also meant that I could use my BSL skills to communicate more effectively on the go in his lessons.
I’m by no means an expert in BSL but as I’m sure you can see from Charlie’s result today, we got the job done.

It’s been an absolute joy teaching Charlie. He’s improved my sign skills, he’s enjoyed laughing at me when my signing has gone a bit iffy… we’ve been able to get to know each other and it’s been an all round lovely journey.

He was nervous as heck going into that test today but the examiners are Wakefield are well prepared to make it as accessible as possible whilst maintaining the integrity of the test.

I’m so bloody proud!

Another Go Auto Graduate?! 🥳🥳🥳

No picture BUT The lovely Alecia has only gone and smashed her test with one minor in Wakefield in her own little Fist 500.

Alecia has worked hard to overcome her nerves and get to this stage, I’m absolutely thrilled to be receiving the news she’s gone and passed.

What a fab way to end the week on a winning streak!

Joe has that Fri-yay feeling… or he will have when he finishes work and gets those ten celebratory pints he’s got on his mind down his neck 🤣🤣

Is there any other result you can even get if you dare make me get out of bed at 5.30am(!!) for your driving test!?

Turns out lighthearted threatening students that if they make you get up at that time for a test and they fail… tends to work 🤣

Update; this weeks posted availability has been fully booked. Thank you all for your enquiries.

I am anticipating 2/3 more spaces across June and the same for July. Spaces will be posted here as soon as I’m sure of the slot time/day and start date.

I would like to gently remind anyone enquiring my working days/hours are Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 9.00am first lesson with my final slot of the day starting at 4.30pm.

I am unable to assist with evenings or weekends at this time.
Lesson durations are offered in 1h, 1.5h and 2h however I do not accept new starters with me booking more than one hour for their first lesson as we need to ensure we get along etc.

With a bit of hope and a lot of faith, I posted Chloe’s lesson slot as available while she was actually still out on her test…. Good job I did really because she’s just absolutely smashed it with two minors at Wakie test centre.
The day before her theory expires too so no pressure there!

Chloe has worked hard week in and week out to get here so I’m obviously proud as punch of her for pulling this off. Thank you kindly for my card and liquor, Chloe that’s the weekend sorted 😉

I’ll be responding to the messages regarding the slots I posted earlier once I finish for the day.
