MOTORCYCLE WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR 13th/14th June 2026............
You might want to plan for a decent weekend coming up. Looks inviting at this time (Monday 8th). Definite signs of good riding conditions. 😎😎😎😎😎

MOTORCYCLE WEATHER (8th - 12th June 2026).
Continuing variable. Showers and rain sporadic, unpredictable (time-wise) and in what quantity. We were lucky over the weekend on Saturday.
Monday is forecast to be rain affected until late morning. Moving past lunch time is showing brighter skies with sunny intervals and rain dying away. Winds generally westerly and quite lively. Temperatures from 13c to 17c at best, then dropping back to 11c by midnight.
Tuesday will be another of those blustery days with wind direction maintained from Monday. Gusts will exceed 30mph at times. Another mix of sunshine and showers is expected, with risk tailing off towards late afternoon. Some sunny intervals are likely between the fast moving clouds. Temperatures ranging from 10c, to highs of 16c. Wind chill will deduct about 3c during the afternoon.
Wednesday, and that shower risk is running from 20% to 50% (briefly). It could be one of those days when this district gets away with little or no rain. Whatever happens, wind direction and speed remains the same. Temperatures almost identical to those of the preceding day.
Thursday looks like a definite wet day. Risk is high (70%-80%) for most of the day. Rain may be persistent and drizzly rather than heavy, driven on a south westerly wind gusting to 30+(mph) from lunch time until dusk. Sunshine not likely to any extent. Temperatures will range from 11c to 15c, and only losing a degree or two at midnight.
Friday might be the best day, with a shower risk much lower than the previous days. That wind will still be buoyant, driving from the west once more and gusting to 30mph at times. Variable cloud with sunny intervals is in prospect. Temperatures slightly better with 13c/19c/13c (end to end of the day) currently forecast. Some optimism for the following weekend. More about that on Friday. Watch out for those crosswinds. Have a good week. Take care.

MOTORCYCLE WEEKEND WEATHER (6th/7th June 2026).
In a word, windy. Other than that I recommend spending Saturday fettling and/or checking the 'Bike over somewhere indoors.
Saturday will be wet and windy, with heavy bursts of rain and/or sudden downpours of some volume. Any sunshine will be limited to late in the day, but don't expect any mercy until the following day. Winds south south-east backing west south-westerly later, as a depression crosses the country. Expect gusts to 40mph in exposed places. The evening could produce some drier conditions, and wind strength will reduce overnight but not abate altogether. Temperatures will run from 9c to 12c at dawn, rising to 13c to 16c, then dropping back to 10c/12c at midnight.
Sunday will be the right day for travel, but don't expect bone dry conditions. Largely cloudy with limited opportunity for sunny intervals, and the wind will be very noticeable once again. Gusts of up to 30mph will arrive from the south west, with very little deviation in direction throughout the day. Best scenario is light rain with shower risk generally 10%/20%, risking to 40% as dusk approaches. Thereafter the night will probably be wet, with the risk of light rain at 70% up to midnight. Temperatures will range from 11c to 14c during the dark hours, with the afternoon indicating 16c to 18c in spite of that lively airflow.
This is June. Nothing unusual, and not getting much warmer at present.
Have a good weekend. Take care.

MOTORCYCLE WEATHER (1st - 5th June 2026).
A shower risk for all days this week. I'll give the percentages as we go.
Monday may be the worst day for rain this week. Not much sunshine around. Rain runs from a 30% risk, to a greater than 90% by dusk. An ascending scale through the day. Could be quite heavy late on. Winds south south-westerly backing southerly later with a definite breeze. Temperatures run from 13c/14c at dawn to 16c/17c by mid-afternoon and not dropping significantly by midnight.
Tuesday may be dry initially, but wet underfoot at dawn following overnight rain. Any brightness will be punctuated by light rain showers during the day. Could be sunny and not miserable, but be prepared for interruptions. Risk runs from 50% to 80%, then back to 30% or lower after dark. Winds steady and noticeable from the west south-west. Temperatures seasonal with 13c/14c at both ends of the day, and around 15c/17c in the middle afternoon.
Wednesday is expected to start fairly dry and become showery later. So some sunshine periodically interrupted during the afternoon, as shower risk runs from 20% to 70%. Winds south westerly and becoming stronger, with 30mph gusts during the afternoon before reducing later. Temperatures no lower than 13c and rising to 17c in sheltered spots, then not falling significantly during the night.
Thursday will be windy, with that south west to west south-westerly gusting to the mid 30's(mph) through the middle of the day. Winds will drop after dusk. A full gamut of conditions with sunshine and shower activity positively expected throughout the day. It should be light rain but patchy and erratic. Temperatures still steady at between 12c early on and 16c later, not reducing by any more than 4c by midnight.
Friday has a very similar forecast, with sunshine and showers. The wind still persisting from the south west gusting to the mid-20's(mph) during the afternoon before dying down later. Temperatures very steady throughout the day, with lows no worse than 11c and highs of up to 15c. More expectation for light rain rather than heavy, with risk at between 70% and 20% during daylight hours.
Have a good week. Take care.

MOTORCYCLE WEEKEND WEATHER (31th/31st May 2026).
Last weekend of May, and the meteorological summer fast approaches.
Saturday will be dry, with probably the last of those high temperatures giving way to more average figures for the immediate future. Winds omnidirectional, but trending westerly and light. Skies will be clear, apart from some high altitude cloud to filter the UV a little. Temperatures will start the day at 9c to 11c, rising through to middle afternoon and achieving 23c to 25c. As the day draws to a close, temperatures will fall slowly to around 15c by midnight. Probably the best day of the two.
Sunday will see a more normal scenario for this time of year. Light cloud and sunny intervals, driven along by a westerly airflow with a noticeable breeze. Gusts will reach the mid-20's(mph) during the middle of the day, before settling back towards evening. There will be a risk (variable 10%-20%) of shower activity, but nothing serious is indicated. Light rain for short intervals if anything does fall. Temperatures will be mild initially, with dawn seeing a 13c/14c but only rising to between 17c and 20c by mid-afternoon due to the increased air movement. By evening we will be heading back to the same figures as at dawn, with a comfortable night temperature for most.
Change is coming next week. You might want to look in on the forecast on Sunday night. Enjoy the last hot weather for the time being. Have a great weekend. Ride safe.
