MOTORCYCLE WEEKEND WEATHER (6th/7th June 2026).
In a word, windy. Other than that I recommend spending Saturday fettling and/or checking the 'Bike over somewhere indoors.
Saturday will be wet and windy, with heavy bursts of rain and/or sudden downpours of some volume. Any sunshine will be limited to late in the day, but don't expect any mercy until the following day. Winds south south-east backing west south-westerly later, as a depression crosses the country. Expect gusts to 40mph in exposed places. The evening could produce some drier conditions, and wind strength will reduce overnight but not abate altogether. Temperatures will run from 9c to 12c at dawn, rising to 13c to 16c, then dropping back to 10c/12c at midnight.
Sunday will be the right day for travel, but don't expect bone dry conditions. Largely cloudy with limited opportunity for sunny intervals, and the wind will be very noticeable once again. Gusts of up to 30mph will arrive from the south west, with very little deviation in direction throughout the day. Best scenario is light rain with shower risk generally 10%/20%, risking to 40% as dusk approaches. Thereafter the night will probably be wet, with the risk of light rain at 70% up to midnight. Temperatures will range from 11c to 14c during the dark hours, with the afternoon indicating 16c to 18c in spite of that lively airflow.
This is June. Nothing unusual, and not getting much warmer at present.
Have a good weekend. Take care.
