I have just attended the 4 day MOT course at Profit From Training Partnership (PFTP Ltd). I had previously been a qualified MOT tester, but I allowed my qualification to lapse.
I wasn’t expecting much beyond the usual content these courses entail. However, upon attending, I immediately noticed how clean, neat and tidy the training centre was. It was also clear that David is incredibly passionate, really knows his stuff and will not deviate from the official guidance — which for me was very refreshing to see.
The course was very well structured and never felt boring. It was harder than I expected, but that is a good thing because it helps maintain high standards in an industry where, in my opinion, standards need to improve. Unfortunately, there are too many substandard training providers and testers around.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was extremely pleased to achieve a 90% pass mark for my online assessment, then the official feedback for my practical MOT test: “A very good test.” Under the stress and pressure of the assessments, your mind can sometimes convince you that you haven’t performed as well as you actually have, so I was expecting a much lower mark.
Once again, thank you to David and the team for your time. I’m sure my staff and I will return in the near future for further training.
