With us at SBC it's never "just" a service, we try and complete service, repairs and MOT in 1 day where possible, to save downtime for the customer and ensure all repairs are actioned.

This little fiat 500 belongs to a regular customer of ours, booked in for service and repairs, however we didn't stop there! We know these little cars pretty well now and know the weak points that need addressing. The chassis has a mud trap which commonly rots out and isn't then easy to repair. This was noticed and we have cleaned the mud out and protected with lanoguard to prevent future rusting.

The same action is taken to our 3 year warranted parts to stop rust and keep them looking new.

All brake parts are cleaned down to remove rust build up and previous contaminants, and pistons are always lubricated to prevent calipers failing.

Same action with the rusting oil sump and coolant pipe that commonly deteriorate.

Some late nights this week trying to keep on top of our very appreciated, very busy workload. Monday night was spent recovering one of our courtesy vehicles from Norwich City centre. Egr valve had stuck open causing the vehicle to stall. A few spanners, a makeshift gasket and we were away again. Dropped back to the customer the following morning to continue with her week.

A long shift last night! Aston Martin has been diagnosed with a failed wishbone bush which was causing it to pull to the left despite all wheel alignment specs being correct. New parts ordered for repair, and a Nissan pathfinder that we have had in for far too long, fixing many many issues but struggling to find the final remedy, we have now resolved the issue and we are very exited to get it back to our customer who has also been fully supported with a courtesy car. On top of that a late night paint job was in order on another vehicle in order to stick to our deadlines for today.

A very loyal customer had had the misfortune of buying a used car from a car sales place near Attleborough. Under warranty they agreed to change the engine with a local company. We have had the car in since for remedial work that consists of missing coolant hose clips, wires not plugged in, engine mount bolts missing, timing belt not changed despite being told it had been, rotten Sump, very very old spark plugs, loose air intake bolts and box, and yet again the list goes on.... We have ensured that our customer got as much of the work possible rectified by the terrible traders, and we have carried out the rest. He now has peace of mind knowing his pride and joy is in the best possible hands and no stone is unturned. We pride ourselves in honesty, quality and most of all friendly.

This vauxhall Astra stopped by after just making it home from the peak district. It had no coolant, very low oil level, engine underboost fault codes, a huge puddle of oil under it and the list goes on. We found a coolant leak, a destroyed turbo, a very unmaintained service history, a Sump full of tar like oil residue! All stripped, cleaned and built back up. Courtesy car supplied for duration of repairs. Book in with us now for diagnostics and repair. We will see this car in again in 2 weeks time for an engine flush and oil and filter change to remove any leftover residue.

In a world where we are trying to be greener, wiser, more conscious of our impact on the planet and we have manufacturers building vital car parts that suffer extreme temperatures and exposure, out of bloody plastic. We see it everyday and it's horrible when it just goes in the bin! And you the customer pay for their poor choice of materials.. We are always looking for a repair over a replace but it is so hard nowadays..... I have hours of conversation on this topic that could bore the brains out of anyone. All of the parts on a Landrover defender are made from recyclable materials. Bring back old cars I say!
