Congratulations to Ewen Barry and Thea Barry on becoming the 2026 Fireball Irish National Champions at Howth Yacht Club. 🏆
Winning 5 of the 9 races across a weekend that delivered everything from light and tricky conditions to fantastic sea-breeze racing is a remarkable achievement.
A special mention to Thea, who at just 15 years old must surely be one of the youngest sailors ever to claim the title.
It's particularly rewarding for our team to see a boat package that started the season with a new boat, new sails and a completely fresh setup perform so well after months of preparation and hard work behind the scenes.
Most importantly, though, this result comes down to the sailors. Ewen and Thea sailed an outstanding championship and thoroughly deserved the win.
Congratulations also to all competitors who took part in a challenging and highly competitive event, and to Howth Yacht Club for delivering a fantastic championship.

With just over three weeks to go until the Fireball Worlds, the team at P&B are deep in preparation mode. The hard work of sail development is behind us. The designs are locked, tested, and ready to perform. From here, the outcome rests firmly on the skill, judgement, and nerve of the sailors who step onto the water.
Alongside the racing programme, the P&B team has turned its attention to making sure competitors are fully supported throughout the event. An extensive range of spares is being assembled, covering every critical component a crew might need on and off the water.
