Many years ago I was privileged to be selected to join the Royal yacht. On arriving I was given my role, polish anything that needed polishing but my official role was car door opener. I spent hours practising how to fold a blanket and place it on her majesty's lap! The pride my family felt watching me on the news made me even happier. I spent nearly a year on board meeting most of the family and experiencing the friendlyness once we were at sea away from the prying eyes of the media. Visiting the channel islands and traveling with the family. My sister still looks after my my arm badges etc. I am proud to have served on HMY Britannia and to Elizabeth, thank you for recognising that I was but a terrified 19 year old and may you rest in peace.

Hi all, we want to reassure you all that here at C P Autos are following government guidelines, and as with the 1st lockdown we can continue to serve our valued customers and will be remaining open for all your vehicle needs.

Where possible we will be offering a collection and delivery service to help you. If you would like to use this please do not hesitate to ask.

All vehicles will be sanitised before and after collection/delivery and before and after work is carried out, social distancing will be adhered to, if you are bringing your car to us we are keeping to a 1 person in reception/waiting areas at a time policy along with a key drop and sanitise area to minimise contact giving everyone peace of mind in this difficult situation.

Today, 29 June, the Department for Transport announced that the 6-month MOT exemption for cars, vans and motorcycles introduced during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, will end on 1 August.

WE ARE OPEN

We just wanted to let all of our customers know that we are currently still open. With careful consideration we feel that the local community and businesses will be best served by us remaining operational for as long as we can to support our farmers, NHS staff, key workers and vulnerable customers.

Extra precautions are being taken, all keys, steering wheels, door handles etc. are being disinfected after every job and our waiting room is limited to one person. We are offering contactless payment up to £45 or if preferred we can accept payment over the telephone or by bank transfer for a completely contactless transaction.

We do have a somewhat limited supply chain at present but it does not seem to be affecting us too much at the moment.

Finally we would like to wish all of our customers the very best of health and please remember to stay home and stay safe.

As many of you are aware Chris had a serious operation yesterday. We are pleased to let you all know that he is home and being looked after by his wife and family. Nurse Georgia (his 6 year old daughter) is doing a grand job of getting him back to full health. We will keep you posted with his progress and we wish him a speedy recovery.
