Porsche 911 Caliper paint
Had this lovely Porsche in for caliper painting. The customer wanted them done bright red. Removed the rubbers, clips, wear sensors and handbrake actuators. Sanded them down with a soft wire wheel and 240 grit sand paper. Masked everything up then applied the acid etch primer followed by the D3 red basecoat, sealed everything with 3 coats of HS clear.

Skoda Octavia VRS spoiler/rusty wheel arch.
Had this Octavia in for some bodywork, the spoiler had been previously painted due to some damage and all the clear coat was peeling off, there was also some rust coming through on the rear arch.
Removed the rear bumper and ground out the rust with a mini grinder. Coated the area in rust remover then a few coats of high zinc primer, let it dry then filled with fibre glass filler. Was able to paint upto the body line, so didn't have to paint the quarter panel.
Removed the spoiler and sanded off all the old paint, gave it a few coats of plastic primer then high build primer, let it dry overnight then rubbed it down and painted in race blue metallic base coat followed by 3 coats of clear.

Audi A7 S-line (new shape) caliper paint.
Had this nice A7 in for caliper painting, the customer wanted them done bright red and provided his own decals.
Removed the clips, rubbers, wear sensors, rear pads and handbrake actuators, removed the rust from the rear calipers with a wire wheel and 80 grit sand paper. Prepped the fronts with a softer wire wheel and 240 grit sand paper. Acid cleaned then de-greased. Masked everything up then applied the acid etch primer, sprayed on the D3 red basecoat them applied the decals, sealed everything with 3 coats of HS clear.

Audi E-Tron caliper paint, hubs, back plates.
Had this E-Tron in to sort out the terrible orange paint job that had been done on the calipers. Thick horrible orange paint hand brushed on, all over everything including the pads, back plates, discs and even on some of the suspension parts.
Had to fully remove all the orange paint as it was a rubbery texture and couldn't be painted over. Had to take the calipers back to bare metal and start again. Removed the pads, rubbers, clips and handbrake actuators, used various wire wheels, sand paper and even thinners to get them ready for primer. Applied a few coats of etch primer followed by a couple of coats of wet on wet primer. Applied the D3 basecoat then applied the S-line decals. Sealed everything with 3 coats of HS clear. Also had to sand all the horrible paint from the rear brake pads and paint them satin black. Hand painted the rusty hubs and back plates with some smooth hammerite.

Audi E-Tron GT caliper paint/hub paint.
Had this lovely E-Tron GT in for caliper painting and to tidy up the rusty hubs.
The customer sent me a picture of what he wanted regarding the colour and ordered the decals for them. The closest colour I could get was BMW ferric grey 2, which was almost perfect.
Prepped using a softer wire wheel as these calipers are a soft alloy so are easily damaged using a standard wire wheel and harsher grit sand papers, masked everything up and applied a couple of coats of acid etc, followed by 2 coats of wet on wet primer, once that was touch dry spayed the ferric grey base coat, applied the Audi carbid decals then sealed with 3 coats of HS clear.
Sanded the hubs with some 120 grit then hand painted them black with smooth hammerite.

Mercedes C Class AMG caliper paint/brake pads/wear sensors.
Had this Mercedes in to do the calipers, the customer wanted them done in red with AMG decals fitting. When I removed the wheels I noticed the brake pads were very low so informed the customer who told me to replace them. There was no extra labour costs involved on this job as I remove the brake pads anyway on these calipers.
Usual prep work, fronts sanded down with 240 grit sand paper, cleaned and de-greased. Rears stripped, actuators , pads, rubbers and wear sensors removed then done with a wire wheel and 80 grit. Masked everything up and applied the acid etch primer followed by a few coats of D3 red basecoat, applied the AMG decals then sealed everything with 3 coats of HS clear

Audi A3 bumper/wing repair
Had this Audi A3 back in the workshop, this time for a nasty little dent/scuff on the osf aswel as some minor damage on the nsf.
I thought it might have needed a new wing as it's been previously repaired in the same place a while ago but I managed to get it back to pretty much perfect which saved the customer a few pounds. Also removed the s-line badge and managed to re-use it.
Removed the wheel and arch lining and pushed and tapped the majority of the dent out, filled over the repair and some of the bumper damage. A few coats of etch primer then some high build. Sanded it smooth then painted the metallic blue base coat followed by 2 coats of clear.

Removed the pads, clips and rubbers then removed the rust with the high speed wire wheel and then 80 to 240 grit sand paper. Masked everything up then applied the acid etch primer. Gave them a few coats of D3 red basecoat followed by 3 coats of HS clear.
