Harry Lawson Ltd has added two 30,000 litre non-hazardous vacuum tanker trailers to its operation through Tanker Rent UK, giving the business more capacity to support customers, respond to short-notice work and adapt as demand changes

Family-owned Harry Lawson Ltd has been operating since 1945 and today runs one of the UK’s largest tanker fleets, supporting customers across bulk liquid, bulk powder, ADR hazardous transport and general haulage.

Tanker Rent UK sourced the two units and coordinated collection, manufacturer handover and operator training with RTN Clayton Vallely.

Harry Lawson had one point of contact from the initial requirement through to the trailers being ready for work.

A fully owned tanker does not mean it is costing you nothing. There may be no monthly payment, but tank testing, repairs, workshop time and lost availability can turn an older unit into one of the more expensive trailers in the fleet.

That does not mean every ageing tanker needs replacing. It does mean the full cost is worth understanding before another repair bill lands or it has to be taken off the road again.

Built by RTN Clayton Vallely on a DAF Trucks UK XD 450 8x4 Tridem sleeper cab chassis, it’s a 4,200 gallon unit for non-hazardous waste, drainage and industrial work.

The tank is split 3,800 gallons debris and 400 gallons clean water, with jetting and wash-down capability included.

Quality waste and drainage kit rarely hangs around.

This Whale gully tanker has now left Tanker Rent UK Ltd and gone to RSP Drainage Limited in South Wales.

RSP needed another vehicle to add capacity and keep up with high demand across upcoming projects. That is exactly where having the right tanker available from stock makes a difference.

The vehicle was workshop checked, prepared for handover and supplied with a fresh 12 months MOT.

That meant RSP could add capacity without getting dragged into a long search, a long wait or a complicated buying process.
