🔑 2018 Ford Transit Custom – New Remote Key Supplied & Programmed

This customer only had one key for their van, and it had seen better days. The remote locking had stopped working, the flip blade wouldn’t fold away properly, and the worn key blade was making it difficult to turn in the ignition.

Porsche Panamera 2019 in for spare key recoding 🔑

The customer noticed the spare remote key wasn’t working and wasn’t sure if it had ever worked during their ownership.

We see this a lot with second-hand vehicles — cars are often sold appearing to come with two keys, but the spare is actually a used remote from another vehicle.

After a quick inspection, we confirmed that wasn’t the case here, meaning the spare just required relearning to the vehicle.

To complete the process, we dismantled the working remote to read the immobiliser data and carried out key learning to correctly program the spare.

Both remotes are now fully working again with the vehicle ✅

🔋 Jaguar XF 2014 – Remote Locking Failure After Battery Replacement

A common issue we see on the 2014 Jaguar XF is the remote central locking failing after the 12V vehicle battery has been disconnected or replaced.

In this case, the customer had the battery replaced by the RAC, and afterwards the key remote would no longer lock or unlock the vehicle.

⚠️ These vehicles have a specific battery replacement procedure that should be followed to prevent communication faults within the body control and security systems.

✅ We diagnosed the issue and successfully recoded/reconfigured the remote locking system using official Jaguar SDD software, restoring full remote locking functionality.

If your Jaguar develops electrical faults after a battery change, diagnostic coding and module configuration may be required.
