HGV Direct Tea Bag Championship - Alfreton

You’ve seen Stoke have a go. Now it’s Alfreton’s turn to step up to the oche and sink a tea bag in the mug from a distance of 2.5m.

With a couple of darts players involved, how hard can it be?

It turns out... harder than it looks.

Last time out, our guest star Chloe set the bar in style, nailing it on the 4th attempt and shooting straight to the top of the leaderboard.

Team Alfreton, took a bit longer.
Bryan and Woody both got there in the end, on the 8th attempt.

The trophies are out, and they're well earned. We've been recognising the branch managers across the North who've increased performance at their branches over the past three months.

FANCY GETTING BEHIND THE WHEEL WITH US?

We're on the lookout for a Delivery Driver to join the team at our Buxton branch.

You'll be the face of HGV Direct out on the road, getting the right parts to our customers quickly and safely, keeping your vehicle in top order, and building strong relationships along the way.

What the role involves:

Delivering parts accurately and on time, we aim for two hours from order to doorstep
Loading securely and keeping your paperwork spot on
Keeping your vehicle clean, checked and roadworthy
Working with the branch team to keep things running smoothly

What we're after:

A safe, reliable driver with a clean approach to the job
Great communication and a friendly manner with customers
Someone organised who takes pride in doing things properly
A valid licence for the vehicle

Full training given, and you'll be part of a friendly branch team that looks after each other.

IT'S RACE WEEK... 🚚🏁

The penultimate round of the BTRC season is heading across the Channel to the famous circuit and title of a Steve McQueen classic,
Le Mans. 🥖

So, this weekend we'll be cheering on our drivers from lap one.
Flying the yellow HGV Direct flag this time out will be Aggie ( #96) and Wozza Harvey ( #97) of Weaver Motorsport, as well as Steve Powell ( #3) and Neil Yates ( #33) from 333 Motorsport.

One change this time out...

Team Collett won't be on the grid, with the truck in for modifications and Ricky still on the mend. All being well, they'll be back firing for the season finale at Brands Hatch.

Rest up, Ricky, see you next time out.

We're on the lookout for a Sales Ledger & Finance Apprentice to join the team at our Ashbourne Head Office.

This is an opportunity to earn while you learn. You'll work alongside our experienced finance team, pick up real skills in sales ledger, credit control and accounting and work towards a recognised finance qualification - all while getting paid!

No previous experience needed. If you've got GCSE Maths and English (grade 4/C or above), a genuine interest in numbers, and the right attitude, we'll teach you the rest.
