THE PERFECT WEEKEND FOR A TRIALS RIDER! 🔥

Two days, two cracking events and plenty of bikes!

Start the weekend with us on Saturday for Acklams’ 60th Anniversary Open Day. Come and see our private collection, the full Beta range, 60 years of history and memorabilia, plus live trials demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

Then get your riding gear back on for Ripon Motor Club’s Chris Laws Memorial Trial on Sunday… a special day celebrating Chris and his love of trials at the brilliant Fir Tree Farm venue.

Here’s a sneaky little peek at some of our private Yamaha collection, which has been hidden away for the last few years 👀

The majority are one owner from new bikes with seriously low mileage and were originally supplied by us when new.

For the first time, they’ll be on display as part of our Acklams 60th Anniversary celebrations this Saturday. Come down and take a look!

🔥FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER… 👀😬

As part of our 60th Anniversary Open Day, you’ll have the chance to see our own private motorcycle collection.

On display will be a selection of Yamaha road bikes, alongside Yamaha and Beta trials bikes collected over the years… all being shown together to the public for the very first time.

Just over a year since we lost Chris, this Sunday 6th September is the first memorial trial to celebrate Chris’ passion for trials. We would be delighted if all of his trialling friends and family could join us to ride for Chris. There will be Smalls Wheels before the Main Trial set up by the usual 3 Amigos Nigel, Andy and Basher, followed by the Main Trial consisting of 3 laps of 12 sections. The Clubman course will be same level as our usual club events but Green and Hard will be slightly harder so all abilities are catered for. So please get your entries in by following the link below

🔥6 DAYS TO GO — ACKLAMS 60TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN DAY 😬

This one’s for everyone who’s been part of the Acklams story over the last 60 years.

Whether you’ve bought a bike from us, ridden with us, worked with us, supported us over the years or simply followed Acklams for a long time… we’d love to see you there.

We’re hoping to get as many old customers, friends, riders and familiar faces together as possible and make it a proper celebration of 60 years of Acklams.

There’ll be plenty going on throughout the day, with bikes, history, memorabilia, trials demonstrations, food, refreshments and a few surprises along the way.

2026 marks 60 years of Acklams Motorcycles, and we’d love you to come along and celebrate with us.

We’ve got a special day planned at the shop, bringing together some of the bikes, people, photos and memories that have been part of Acklams over the last six decades.

🏍️ LIVE TRIALS DEMONSTRATIONS
Our Acklams Beta team riders will be putting on trials demonstrations throughout the day in a specially built outdoor arena.

⭐️ PRIVATE COLLECTION – ON SHOW FOR THE FIRST TIME
For the first time, we’ll be opening up our private collection of Yamaha and Beta motorcycles, including some of Paul’s old bikes, alongside other special bikes we’ve collected and kept throughout the years.

📸 60 YEARS OF ACKLAMS HISTORY
We’ll be digging into the archives with a display of old photographs, memorabilia and pieces of Acklams history from across the last 60 years… from the early days right through to today.

🇮🇹 THE LATEST BETA RANGE
Come and have a look around the showroom, where we’ll have the full range of Beta trials and enduro bikes on display.

☕ FOOD & REFRESHMENTS
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available throughout the day, along with some food.

There’s no charge and no need to book… just come along, have a look around, enjoy the demonstrations, catch up with some familiar faces and help us celebrate a very special milestone.
