Today we had Jordans civic jordan in for a few mods and a geo setup.

So we fitted a uprated RARB and subframe brace kit from and some adjustable camber arms for the rear from .europe.
Freed off the toe arm bolts and added liberal amounts of grease to them as they like to seize up and spin the captive nut.

Then onto an alignment, unfortunately wasn't able to set the rear to how I would have liked camber wise as it would scrub the arches due to wheel offset so a compromise was made as the customer didn't want any rubbing and didn't want to modify the arches.

But all set up and driving straight and much improved from before the work 👍

This jordan is VERY clean and has some other jordan goodies aswell adding to the experience 👌

Anddddd another clutch. This time removing a uprated clutch and fitting a oem spec exedy.

The customer had grown tired of the heavy clutch pedal and decided to fit an oem spec clutch as he wasn't running enough power to warrant the upgraded clutch anyway.

Changed the gearbox and diff oil at the same time, along with fixing an issue he didn't know he had. The waste gate actuator had become disconnected from the waste gate, so a new circlip and 5 mins had it back to boosting as it should 💪

This Is a honda b series s80 gearbox we had in for new close ratio, 3rd, 4th, 5th gears, and a longer final drive.

We went from a 4.7 final to a 4.4 but when matched to the close ration gears ends up about the same gearing in 5th as before to keep cruising rpms to a acceptable level..... about 5k rpm at 70 👀 if you can call that acceptable. This is mostly a track car so only really drives to and from tracks.

Upon stripping we found the 3rd/4th synchro hub had a couple of chipped teeth so that was binned and a new Mfactory hub was fitted at the same time as the Mfactory close ratio gear kit. All bearings were checked and in very good condition as the box had been rebuilt recently anyway.

And another clutch and flywheel...

This time the customer complained of a vibration that was shaking the car. And they were not wrong! it was shaking the whole car, the clutch had also got to the point where you couldn't disengage it properly.

When the gearbox was removed you could see just how far off centre the flywheel had become due to wear.

New clutch and flywheel all fitted and returned to the now very happy owner. After saving them a very large bill at the dealers for a misdiagnosed new engine 🤦‍♂️

Mercedes c220d in for a clutch and flywheel, this is the heavier duty twin plate clutch system. As you can see the flywheel was past its best and definitely required replacement, the friction material on the clutch plate was also pretty worn.

Nice straight forward job once the correct parts were obtained as everyone was listing it as a single plate clutch. And one much happier owner 👍

It's been a while as haven't been keeping up with he socials.

Here we have Beths civic, we had in for a custom 3" stainless system to replace the small bore skunk2 system she already had.

All 304 grade stainless, either pie cut or mandrel bends used, all stainless vband joints and a polished 4" tip to finish it off.

Took alittle longer than originally planned but I was happy with the finished product and Beth and her partner were very happy 👍

Returning customer again... Nat Topps clio in for more maintenence and upgrades.

As you can see he had his use from the pads.
His front bushes were also original at 140k miles I think they were probably past their best.

So fresh brembo high carbon discs along with carbon Lorraine pads, and a full front end poly bush kit.

Some more maintenence/preventative mods.

The BMW M57 engine utilises a swirl flap system for efficiency and low down torque. But these are known to fail and fall into the valves/cylinders and can kill the engine or at least create a BIG repair bill.

This one has 200k miles and the flaps were in OK order but the rubber was brittle and starting to break up. So we removed the flaps and fitted a blanking kit. And also cleaned out the EGR valve as it was fairly blocked with carbon deposits.

No noticeable loss of low down torque and no more potential catastrophic failure to the engine 💪

Spot the difference....

The old arm was fitted where the new arm is designed to go by a previous garage repair.

An easy mistake to make when ordering parts on these german multilink front ends but surely you would notice it isn't a like for like part and not fit the item, this arm was actually a front lower/upper arm rather than a front lower/lower arm. Yes it gets confusing on the descriptions of parts.
