The Ripon Races football team channeled their inner England yesterday to reach the semi-finals of the The Portly Pig Cup at Ripon City AFC yesterday.

In some serious heat they gave a brilliant account of themselves, eventually going out on penalties in the semi-final of the event, which was in support of Ripon Men's Shed and Andys Man Club Ripon.

Well done lads, we are very proud of you and congratulations to The Portly Pig and all sponsors on a great event!

Our sixth and final race, The David Chapman Memorial Handicap Stakes was an easy win for Lamlash Bay and Lewis Chalkley.
