🚐 36 Hour Road Trip from Aberdeen to Glencoe | Part 1 - The Coe’s in Glencoe

Jaimee picked me up on Market Street cause I was already in town after she’d collected Hamish our camper van for the night from Dycers Dubs - Campervan Hire in Ellon… and that was us off!

First stop? Starbucks, obviously. ☕😂

Then we hit the road, making our way through Perthshire we stopped at the central fish bar in Crieff because it was literally the only place open for food then we carried on the road and finally arrived in our happy place… Glencoe 🩷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

For the night we stayed at Red Squirrel Campsite beside the Clachaig Inn, Glencoe. What a brilliant campsote, I’ll do a separate video showing you around the campsite and all the facilities. 🏕️

The next morning Glencoe had completely disappeared into the mist ☁️ It looked like something out of a horror movie

We wandered round Glencoe Village, visited my favourite little shop, Crafts and Things, where I carried on my tradition of buying myself a new necklace every single time I’m in Glencoe 🩷

We also popped into the new Glencoe Farm Shop & Cafe at the moment they’re serving coffees and cakes, with sandwiches, toasties and soups coming soon. The owner was lovely and it’s definitely somewhere I’ll be stopping at again. (The dirt bike hanging on the wall is worth a look on its own! 😍)

We also tried to visit the Glencoe Studio Gallery… but just our luck, it was closed. 😂

Honestly, this trip reminded me that you don’t always need a week away. Just 36 hours, your best pal, a campervan and the open road 🩷

Hamish from Dycer’s Dubs was absolutely brilliant. We paid £120 for the night, and honestly, we thought it was fantastic value. You get a lovely little welcome hamper with some treats in it, and you even get to keep two of their branded coasters as a wee souvenir. It was such a lovely touch. If you’ve ever fancied trying the campervan life without buying one, I’d genuinely recommend it.

Come back for Part 2… We meet a Nepalese Sherpa, head up Glencoe Mountain Resort chair lift, had a go at disc golf, meet one of the loveliest families we’ve ever come across… and then we had, hands down, the best pizza we’ve ever had from The Glencoe Inn 🍕😍
