Here at the P Hampton Motors we have noticed a massive problems with the new transit Ecoblue wet timing belt.
The belt is failing prematurely casing not just timing belt failure but also a lose of oil pressure due to the timing belt breaking down into small fragments which in turn get into the oil galleries and block the oil pump pick up strainer. This can cause dramatic premature engine failure.
We are replacing the timing belts at a cost of £800 plus vat this also comes with a new timing belt cover, new sump and associated seals using all genuine Ford parts.
