Learn Drive Go

First lesson of the day and it was out to Oakley to see my SENsational learner William.

After a few weeks learning core skills locally we ventured into Dunfermline for the first time.
William was cool as a cucumber as he achieved a few first time experiences behind the wheel.

Oakley - Dunfermline - Wellwood - Steelend - Saline - Oakley

The theory test is something William is working on so we had a great time learning a lot of signs that he'd seen for the first time along with understanding road markings!

Happy weekend everyone! 😎🚗

🚗 Adapted & Automatic Driving Lessons – Dunfermline

Hi everyone, I’m Allan from Learn Drive Go, a local independent driving instructor based in Dunfermline.

I’ve recently expanded the service I offer and my automatic tuition car is now professionally fitted with a range of driving adaptations, including:

♿ Push/pull hand controls
♿ Left-foot accelerator
♿ Steering ball
♿ Secondary controls

I can now provide adapted driving tuition for disabled learners and existing drivers, including people returning to driving following a stroke, illness or accident, or anyone who needs to learn to drive using adapted controls.

I’m also a Motability-approved independent driving instructor, registered with the Scottish Driving Assessment Service (SDAS) and listed with Disabled Driving Instructors.

🧠 I continue to specialise in helping neurodivergent, anxious and nervous learners, with calm, patient lessons adapted to the individual.

📍 Normal automatic lessons: Dunfermline & surrounding areas
♿ Adapted lessons: available across a much wider area of Central & Eastern Scotland

If you know someone who could benefit from either adapted driving tuition or a more patient, individual approach to learning, please feel free to share this post or send me a message.

First lesson today with William who is a SEN learner. William learns best by talking through situations before attempting them.

Here we have the training aid and cars out where we discussed different situations that could arise approaching and leaving a junction. Of course William nailed it then managed to drive home on the "fast" road for the first time!

🚘 Drop a message if you are interested in getting started or retrained with adaptations 🚘

It was out to Falkirk today to get Mick back on the road a year after he had a stroke!

Mick's left side doesn't work too great now so we used a smart steering ball with a full instrument cluster available to press with his right thumb!

Mick has been house bound since his stroke so to see his face light up at the thought of getting his freedom back made the trip worthwhile! 😃

My car is fully loaded with adaptations now including a pull/push hand accelerator/brake, left foot accelerator, steering ball, and smart ball so I'm super stoked to help drivers get back on the road!

🚘Space Available 🚘

Automatic driving lessons available to all learners.

Just drop me a message 😃

Big changes here at Learn Drive Go!

When I first started my journey to become a driving instructor in 2019 it was down to my passion for helping other people who struggled to understand things that I could.

After 5 years of being on the road with all types of students including:

- Naturally gifted young students who would only need to see how things are done once
- Mature adults that want to tick driving off their bucket list
- My neurodiverse students and those with crippling anxiety.

My highest job satisfaction has come when working with people who need that little extra help. Over the last few years this has sent me down the rabbit hole of understanding how different people think and what learning strategies work for neurodiverse students. I also focus on using calming techniques to help anxious learners take control and build confidence.

For these reasons I'm delighted to be switching from teaching manual driving lessons to automatic lessons!

I'm now starting over and need to fill my diary with learners who wish to learn automatic transmission.

If you could be so kind to share this post that will help me out massively!

All automatic learners are welcome and if you know of anybody who would like to learn but will need physical adaptations to the car just get in touch! 😉😀

Oh aye, the new car has been christened the Learnborghini 😄

What a day to Learn Drive Go!

Congratulations Kieran on your fantastic first attempt pass.
I could not believe my ears when I heard your 3 faults were for driving too slow.
I think you took the advice " drive like a granny" too far 😂

Well done mate, absolutely class, enjoy that victory cigar and don't stop learning, this is just the start 💪😀🕺🚘🎉
