🟢 An extreme case, but with a blown out bearing throwing grease onto the inside of this wheel ot completely threw the balance out. Over time ended up in significant inside tyre wear.

🚨 Bearing Buddy / Savers 🚨

⚫ First photo, a case of considerable over-greasing via a bearing buddy/saver. Second, the cleaned up backing plates fitted with new brake shoes.

🟢 Used correctly they are a handy accessory to add to your hubs to conveniently push some fresh grease into your bearings before you set off without the mess.

🔴 Used too much and it will blow the oil seal behind the inside bearing and flood the inside of the drum with grease (as pictured above). Any grease between brake drum and brake shoe will dramatically decrease braking performance to near nil.

Lovely big Phantom on a not so lovely trailer. Unfortunately the Snipe Trailer it's sat on are no longer being manufactured which called for two brand new custom made axles from Indespension. Furtheremore the drums were drilled to 5x112 PCD in order to keep the Audi B7 Le mans 18" alloys. The remainder of the trailer was serviced and a spare wheel carrier fitted. Ready to roll for hopefully a well over due good summer on Loch Lomond.

A dozen trailers completed for Tower Productions based in Leith. The job was completed over a number of months due to their busy hire schedule.

● 8x Knott Chasis Trailers
● 2x Ifor Williams Flatbeds
● 2x Fuel Bowsers

All trailers were completely stripped, rewired, and fitted with brand new matching LED Durite units all round. Resistors were also fitted to each trailer as the change from bulbed units to LEDs were causing problems when talking to the company vehicles. All vehicles also adapted to run off 13-pin sockets instead of the original 7-pin.

This ifor Williams 125G was initially, just down for a service. After service report concluded that the trailer was requiring quite a bit of attention to get it back on the road. Come Sunday it'll be safe, legal and back to its best 🔧💪✅️

6m Indespension roller coaster recently serviced for Glasgow University Ecology department. Bearings, shoes, expanders, breakaway cable, 7pin plug, trailer board arms and indespension rubber O rings to replace the nest of cable ties 🔧 Orkney pilot house now able to safely carry on with its research projects up amd down the country 🛥

A returning domestic trailer was seen yesterday. Due to the age of the trailer, corrosion was slowly eating away at this poor axle. The whole axle was taken back to the bare metal, inspected and sealed with 3 coats of anti-corrosion paint extending the life of the trailer for many years to come 🎨 ✅️
