James’ i20N was back with us for another service 🫶🏼 All the way from Manchester too… because apparently having a mechanic locally is overrated 😂

James runs Turbo Tribe, and we’ve now got a few of the club members coming to us to keep their modified cars behaving themselves 👀🔧 Lowered, louder, mapped, modified… whatever questionable financial decisions have been made, Jason’s happy 😂

A SERVICE is NOT just changing the oil and filter… 😂🔧
The wheels come off, your vehicle gets a full inspection, and you receive a completed inspection sheet. We check your brakes, tyres, suspension, belts, fluids, lights, battery, leaks and more. We also test your brake fluid for moisture content and check your coolant strength/protection levels because just because a fluid is there, doesn’t mean it’s still doing its job properly. 👀 So you know exactly what’s been checked and whether anything needs attention.

Because there’s a BIG difference between:
“Oil and filter changed ✅”
and
“Your car has actually been serviced ✅”

😂 This week’s photos have been absolutely shocking. Apparently Jason’s been far too busy fixing cars to remember he also has a part-time job as our photographer. 📸🤦🏼‍♀️ Rest assured, the garage on wheels has been VERY busy even if the camera roll says otherwise. 😂

Here’s a little look at Friday’s wetbelt job 👀🔧For something called a belt, there’s certainly a lot of engine to dismantle to get anywhere near it! Wetbelts run internally in the engine oil, so replacing one properly is a pretty involved job, timing covers off, belt system exposed and plenty of careful reassembly afterwards.

Jason: 10/10 mechanic ✅
Jason: 2/10 content creator ❌😂

Even our business customers name their vans… 😂💙Meet Chugger 👋🏼 Chugger was feeling a little poorly and, true to his name, wasn’t quite chugging along as he should. 😅 The culprit? A leaky fuel primer ⛽️💦 Jason got him sorted with a shiny new one and he’s now officially leak-free and back in business. 🔧✅ plus some coolant as this was running extremely low.

Ready to get back to delivering beautiful plants, flowers… and whatever else gets thrown in the back of Chugger that day 🌸🌿😂 Chugger lives to chug another day! 🚚💨

A little before & after action from Jason today 🔧✨
This one was treated to a proper front-end refresh with a new SACHS shock absorber, new coil spring and a fresh CV boot. 👌🏼 The old suspension had definitely seen better days… apparently “shock absorber” had become more of a job title than an actual function. 😂

New parts fitted, everything back together properly and ready to get back on the road. 🚗💨Because suspension isn’t just about a comfy ride it plays a huge part in handling, braking and keeping your tyres planted on the road.

We’re so glad we managed to save you some money too! We’ll always quote for the worst-case scenario when it comes to labour, because nobody likes being hit with a surprise bill at the end. If the job takes less time than expected, you’ll only ever pay for the time it actually takes. 🙌🏼

When was your cabin filter last changed? 👀🍂

Jason’s first job this morning was a service on Dave’s Jaaag… and apparently the cabin filter had been collecting leaves like they were going out of fashion. 😂

Leaves ✅
Twigs ✅
Half the local woodland ✅
Possibly a small mortgage application from a squirrel ✅🐿️

And if Dave Gleaves looks familiar… he was actually our last competition winner! 🏆

Which means today’s service came with his prize; Castrol oil, MANN oil filter and sump plug all completely FREE. 🙌🏼
So Dave hasn’t paid a penny for any of those bits today… which is probably why he could afford to splash out on Jason’s sausage butty 😂🌭🥪

Jason emptied half a tree out of the Jaguar, Dave fed the mechanic, and everyone went home happy. 🤣 Moral of the story: enter our competitions… and always feed your mobile mechanic. 😂🫶🏼
