Another busy week in the workshop 🔧🚗

Alongside our usual servicing and bodywork jobs, here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

🔹 Mercedes Oil Leak
Customer came in for a service but requested for us to look at an oil leak – traced it back to the valve cover. Replaced and sorted, no more leaks 👍

🔹 Camper Van Suspension Upgrade
Installed airbag suspension on a camper van to improve ride quality and load support – perfect for those long trips 🚐 We’re always happy to work on campervans and vans, and can carry out the upgrades customers require.

🔹 Citroën Camper – MOT Issue
Came in for MOT with a persistent airbag warning light. Diagnosed a faulty airbag ECU, replaced it, and all systems back to normal ✅ This is a common fault on these vans (including Peugeot & Fiat versions), especially campervans. They often suffer from low battery voltage or being jump started, which can damage the airbag modules.

🔹 Transit Camper – DPF Problems
Recurring DPF issues diagnosed down to a blocked vapouriser. Cleaned the vapouriser and DPF – running spot on again 👌
We see a lot of these where the DPF has already been cleaned or forced regenerated without the root cause being fixed first, leading to repeated issues. Here at D&W, we make sure the underlying fault is diagnosed and repaired before carrying out any DPF work.

No two weeks are the same here – but that’s how we like it!

🚗 Job Vacancy: Driver & Workshop Assistant – D&W Autos
Location: Winsford
Pay: Hourly rate – TBC
Hours: Part Time/Flexible between 08:00 and 17:30, Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a dependable and hands-on Driver & Workshop Assistant to support our day-to-day operations.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
• Delivering and collecting vehicles from customers
• Handling vehicles with care and providing excellent service
• Supporting general workshop duties, including:
• Organising and maintaining a clean workspace
• Washing and prepping customer vehicles
• Helping the team with various daily tasks

🚀 Room to Grow:

We’re keen to support your development – with opportunities to learn tyre fitting and gain broader workshop experience if you’re interested in growing your skills.

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• A valid UK driving licence with minimum Category C1 (ideally Category C)
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Good attention to detail and reliability
• Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but not essential
