It’s been a well loved and looked after car during its time with the current owner and is being sold through auction soon on car&classic.com

The TR7 Sprint was introduced in the mid to late 1970s from backlash about the base models performance figures.

Using the 127bhp, 16 valve, 2 litre version of the Dolomite Sprint engine the TR7 Sprints 0-60 times dropped from 9.1 to 8.5 and top speed raised to 120mph.

Build numbers are shrouded by mystery as industrial action at the time caused disruption at BMC. Only around 60 factory cars are believed to have been built.

This example has been subject to a bare metal restoration and is now presented in fine condition ready for auction. With 6 former keepers, 6,201 miles completed since restoration and several thousands spent, it’s now time for it to find a new home.
