Personal project for myself.
My Range Rover Vogue 3.0 SDV6 in for engine replacement. We sourced a low mileage engine swapped over all ancillaries and done all the belts tensioners idlers water pump etc while it was out. Now back in and running sweet.

Please note bookings are very limited until the 1st of March due to staff holidays + a massive work load which we are currently working through. Please book well in advance as we are normally 1 to 2 weeks booked up in advance. We hope to resume back to normal on the 1st of March and we appreciate all customers and bookings new and old. Going forward we will only be taking on basic servicing, repairs, maintenance and MOT testing. We will no longer be taking any jobs such as engine changes or rebuilds, diagnostics, electrical work or any other major jobs. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we change direction to continue providing our services as best as we can.

Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 in the workshop with a rattling noise from engine. Diagnosed as timing chain. Stripped it down and found the guide completely broken. Full new chain kit supplied and fitted and running perfect.

Experienced mechanic wanted
We have a permanent role available for a mechanic
Located in Bathgate
Day to day jobs include servicing, repairs, clutches, ideally timing belts and chains and welding but not essential, we are also an MOT station so an MOT tester is a bonus but not required
Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with overtime available these hours are flexible

Reminder !!
Please check your MOT expiry dates. All too often we see people forgetting when their mot expires then panicking trying to get an appointment. We are normally booked 1 to 2 weeks in advance so it’s getting increasingly harder to help people out at short notice. Please check your expiry date and set a reminder. Remember you can get your MOT done 1 month before the expiry date and still retain the original expiry date. The same goes for general servicing, tyres, maintenance etc. please note we having a waiting list off around 1 to 2 weeks regardless if it’s just a bulb change or tyre, thank you.

Mercedes Vito 111 CDI with 360k miles with the dreaded Black Death.
All cleaned up, rocker cover gasket replaced, new injectors and leak off pipe fitted. Ready to go back on the roads.

Wet belt
We’ve been busy as usual in the workshop we have seen a massive increase in the number of vehicles coming in for wet belt replacements.

What is a wet belt
A wet belt is like a conventional timing belt but it runs inside the engine oil. Poor servicing, age and just poor design results in the belt degrading and snapping or clogging the oil strainer leading to major issues or worse engine failure. Get yours done before it’s too late some makes with wet belts are-
Peugeot, Citroen, Ford, Honda, Vauxhall

Honda Civic in for rear section to be replaced. Old section cut out new piece fabricated and welded in place, exhaust mount welded and coated in underseal.

All aspects of welding repairs undertaken.
