A job we see far too often in workshops - prematurely that is
42k Peugeot puretec with the oil pressure light on - car drove fine then came in for a service - wet belt visual check - good
Special Tool check - good
Carried out oil and filter change and a few miles later the oil pressure light came on the customer brought the car back and after removing the sump and seeing the quantity of belt debris in the oil pick up the wet belt has now been replaced along with another oil and filter change 👨‍🔧

All flushed and rebuilt with a full engine service too

PMO (performance motor oil) left picture
This is the oil required for any vehicle still under warranty as it meets all the manufacturers specifications
It also comes with commas 100% compatiblity guarantee
This is also my first choice of oil for any engine and the only oil I will use in a wet timing belt application

X-FLOW (standard motor oil) right picture this oil still meets manufacturer specs but not to the same degree and is a good choice for non wet belt applications although comma still recommend the PMO oil

When I am asked why the oil is so expensive it is because I choose to use the better quality esp when the vehicle is fitted with a wet belt

I have witnessed first hand a transit van at 90k coming in for a belt replacement- the van having been service by myself from new (Ford oil for 3 years then PMO there after) the belt was like brand new, this one example was enough to prove PMO oil is doing its job 👨‍🔧

2x new tyres for obvious reasons 🫣

Exhaust flexi was blowing and by luck this system doesn’t req nearly a full new exhaust - just that section

ABS light was on and the wheel bearing was replaced as the sensor was at fault and that sensor is built in to the bearing

All done and back to the customer 👨‍🔧

New pads,discs and wear indicators fitted
Then a road test to confirm the repair

The cars now awaiting collection 👨‍🔧

Another pre mot on a Peugeot 208
Rear discs corroded and binding on one side
I found excess corrosion on the pad carrier causing the brake to bind on one side
A good clean up and some new discs and pads along with a tyre due to it being worn to its limit
Another car awaiting test 👨‍🔧
