Great North Run in aid of CHAS- training run.

Today I did a 9 mile run up the Glentarkie road and into Pitmedden Forest and back down to ‘Muchty.

The last time I ran this route was 9 years ago and I’m glad to say that I ran it 5 minutes quicker than last time!

Now don’t get me wrong it wasn’t easy, the climb up the Glentarkie road was 2.5 miles and it had me pechin like an auld cuddie before the relief of a wee downhill section then another climb into the forest and more pechin!

2 weeks to go until race day so I’ve still a few training runs left to do.

Perished tyre today that would have failed it's MOT had it not been caught before Derek took it to the test centre.

Small note: we are a small business with a Team of 2. Sometimes delays returning back to the workshop from Breakdowns/MOTs/Parts collections can happen outwith our control, we ask for patience & understanding if this does occur as it's likely we are on route back & do not have customers contact details on us to update of the slight delay (we've not gone home for a nap haha) :)

Great North Run training.

Today’s run was up through Pitmedden Forest on an 8 mile loop, my longest run in a long time!

It was a great run with excellent scenery and the weather couldn’t have been better 👍

It’s 3 weeks until race day so there’s still time to donate to my fundraising page in aid of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) anything that you donate will help enormously, thank you.

I’m off to put my feet up now 😂
