The 2026 Manitoba CTHS Yearling Sale https://cthsmb.ca on Thursday, August 20 scored some great four-legged advertising this week!

Manitoba-bred 3-year-old Brachetto runs in the $1 million King’s Plate on Saturday at Woodbine Racetrack and Saskatchewan-bred 6-year-old Al Reichert held off former Manitoba-bred star No Show No Call and a host of other game Manitoba-breds Wednesday evening at ASD to win the $40,000 Phil Kives Stakes.

There are 48 yearlings in this year’s Manitoba sale, and we can’t play favourites, but one just has to be mentioned.

Hip #7, consigned by Dr. Ross McKague, Brenda McKague and Sharra Sage, is a Manitoba-bred by Vosburgh (G2) Stakes winner Following Sea out of Aramon, a four-time winner and a half-sister to McKague’s King’s Plate runner Brachetto.
