It has been a week since Honda Nationals, it is only fair to get into further details about the set up we ran during that event, in particular the engine and head package.

We ran the same engine as last year, the buttom end consisting of a Nippon Racing ### high compression pistons and a basic Manley Racing H-beam rods, ACL race bearings and bunch of OEM Honda and Toda Racing parts from Elusive Racing.

The cylinder head is decked out with Supertech Performance Australia valve terrain from valves, springs/retainers, seals, keepers, bases and guides. We are also running a ported cylinder head and RBC intake manifold from Kenny Nguyen at Elusive Racing, similar profile found on the current ER300 series engines.

The machining, blueprinting and construction is all handled by uncle David Flood.

Apart from that the whole front end including our chambered muffler is supplied by Piyesa Hub and on the braking department we are using Intima Performance Brake Pads RR up front and SS on rears.

Redemption day for us round 2 of Honda Nationals 26. This post is rather long, bare with me.

We managed a best time of 1.34.739 that puts as 5th out of 40 in our class and 23rd out of 106 entries over all. This is over a second from the best we ran last year, considering round 1 we thought we have lost it all and heading home early that morning.

Thank you to Tank Wu for steering for us these past couple of years, much appreciated. Your drive is flawless every time. What a gun driver!

Thank you to boss Kenny Nguyen and the whole Elusive Racing team with out you guys, getting the car back on track would be impossible!

Also thank you to Piyesa Hub for hooking us up with the carbon front end, your contribution is reflective of what we achieved today. Boss phil at Intima Performance Brake Pads thank you for hooking up on pads, it has been faultless everytime.

And the boys at shop Greg Zaharia Kee Lag Nick Hertel and Zacwood Wood for everything and most of all putting up with me.

Finally uncle David Flood thank you for keeping us in line and the hard lovin!

Disaster struck early, we managed to get it up and going again. However we sustained too much damage on the throttle cable resulting us sitting out of round 1 of Honda Nationals for the remaining of the day, managing only two and a bit laps.

Thank you to our pit buddies today TNT garage for assisting with some parts and tools. Also many thanks to Elusive Racing for supplying parts, they drove back to clayton and back winton, to get us set up for round 2!

We managed to sit 32nd overall out of 75 and 8th out of 22 in our class.

Unfortunately luck is not our side today, I am sure everything will be alot better tomorrow.

We encountered a major set back during the opening session of HNATS 26, however we managed to patch it up and get it going. Unfortunately we are not able to continue until round 2 tomorrow, our throttle cable has sustained too much damage for the day and unable to,continue.

Many thanks to our pit buddy today the TNT Garage boys for the hand, especially Elusive Racing for going out of their way to get us running again for round 2 tomorrow.

Anyways these are the photos of the car for round 1, we were going to test a slighly diffrent setup but due to issues we encountered we weren't able to do so.

It is that time of the year...

My first encounter with this Toyota EP92 starlet, equipped with its original 4EFE engine, boosted with only an adjustable FPR on board. Cranked so high the gauge was reading off the charts!

We wired up a Link ECU, an Atomx standalone engine management system to be exact, using one of our adaptor harnesses to plug into the OEM loom. We regulated the boost up to 10psi via a Turbosmart manual boost controller.

Not bad for a 1.3l that makes 45-50KW from factory! Would love to squeeze more but after seeing the rods that thin, we decided to stop there.

Replace upper, lower input shaft bearings, upper, lower output shaft bearings.

Replace the final drive to DE3A FTO and finally inspect the Cusco RZ L*D.

A few budget adaptor harnesses for LAN EVO 96-03 (4G63T) or Lancer/Mirage CE 96-03 4G9X/4G69 SOHC/DOHC to suite Link ECU monsoonx, standalone ECU.

They are made from high quality brand new and meticulously constructed. Brand new ECU header, TXL automotive, duestch 2 pin plug for CAN, Panasonic 40AMP relay on a 34P AMP superseal plug.

The final product will be potted not 3D printed to withstand rigorous conditions such as high vibration, heat etc....

I only make these when I feel like it so take advantage of it while I have the motivation to do so.
