Why combinations like this benefit from MoTeC solutions.
Here's the result of Michael's dyno run.
Making power isn't particularly difficult these days. Making power that's usable and controlled is where the challenge begins.
Unlike many of the high-powered AWD cars that come through the workshop, this R34 GT-T has to put everything through just two rear tyres. As torque levels climb, the way power is delivered becomes just as important as the number shown on the dyno screen.
That's where tuning and calibration play a critical role.
Boost control, torque delivery and traction management all need to work together to create a package that's not only powerful, but predictable and enjoyable to drive. The MoTeC M150 coupled with our custom firmware gives us the tools to precisely tailor how this car delivers its power, leveraging traction control and torque delivery in an unrivaled way. Ultimately, this RWD will be capable of accelerating at the rates of an AWD in the same class.
Following completion of the engine run-in period, Ryan carried out the final calibration and the result is a seriously capable street car that produces the sort of numbers many people associate with AWD platforms.
Not bad for an RB25 and two driven wheels.
