OEM Wisdom, One Manual at a Time

Big shout-out to our Kayla, who has been busy creating a dedicated library of over 400 original OEM workshop manuals. It is quickly becoming the reverent all knowing font of knowledge, making it easier to find the correct factory information, support accurate repairs, and preserve valuable technical resources for future projects. Great work and a fantastic contribution to the workshop!

Well its a bitter sweet end to the 2026 financial year.
SWEET .. it marks 5 Years since the inception of MC Classics which has grown exponentially particularly in the last 2 years.

They say the first 5 are the toughest so a huge out out to our loyal customers and the magic wouldn't happen with out our exceptional staff Mick, Dave, Amy and Kayla.

72 positive Google reviews 4.9 Star Rating (there is always one . lol) Put that in perspective, its hard enough to get one person to take the time, great job guys.

BITTER .. the current government polices are killing small business.

Insurances are up, fuel is up, freight is up, administration costs are up. The Fair Work Commission recently handed down a 4.75% labour rate increase to the minimum Modern Award rates effective 1 July 2026.

Fantastic for staff not so much for customers.

This along with inflation and CPI will see labour rates increasing by a total of 5.7%.

Apologies, nothing we can do but ensure our integrity and service remains first rate.

The SUZUKI super weapon, the 1999 GSX1300R Hayabusa 1st Generation was a game changer. It forced the implementation of speed limiting and reduction of speedo display to 300 Kph. Note the Gen 1 has a speedo display of 340 Kph !

This girl is 99% original and will be 100% original once we fit the OEM mufflers that we happen to have on the shelf.

So the 3D scanning and printing is progressing nicely.

Kayla has finished her first Harley Rebuild. Ok its a 3d printed model but it still counts - Module completed .. lol.

Anyway, as we perfect our skills in between part scans, we have taken to building and printing tow bar covers. Exact fit for your standard tow hitch at 50x50 mm.

Now here is a serious piece of new kit. The Bambu H2C - multi colour 3D printer and a Raptor Pro 3D scanner . Why you might ask? Well after we have fiddled about making stupid fun stuff we can get serious using the PPS-CF Filaments it to replicate NLA parts, bushes, brackets and the list is endless.

What is PPS-CF I hear you ask . Not! Well its the combination of polyphenylene sulphide resin and carbon fibre providing exceptional properties, including excellent resistance to solvents, corrosion, heat, and flames. As tough as it comes so ideal for part replacement for alloy and "PEEK" plastics in automotive, aerospace, and electronics applications.

Limitless options for just about anything we need.

Well that's Easter done. Good will to all and that means we had better do something nice. So we have all seen the Nine Bot electric scooters getting around and well yes they do breakdown especially if the young fellas are doing motocross on them - mud, water and gunk. So after some pleading "Its all charged but wont go" we took this one apart to repair. LOL

That's what happens when the water and mud gets in the rear wheel stator drive - it rusts up and seizes.

Good news is that once stripped and cleaned and reassembled its as good at new ready to terrorise a kill joy or two.😜
