We have several positions open for a motivated and Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic and a 3rd year Apprentice to join our growing team in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled workers looking for a progressive workshop environment specialising in servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models, including 4WD and Heavy vehicles.
Qualified Mechanic Role - Full-Time available, or negotiable hours
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' hands-on industry experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong attention to detail, diagnostic and repair skills, and is willing to work across multiple workshop locations as our business continues to expand.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Carrying out servicing and repairs on a broad range of passenger and light commercial vehicles
Diagnosing mechanical faults
Conducting inspections and identifying repair requirements
Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
Using workshop diagnostic equipment and scan tools
Working both independently and within a team environment
Maintaining accurate job records and reporting
Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
Travelling between workshop locations where required
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) or the equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive servicing and repairs
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Experience working across multiple vehicle makes and models
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Ability to work independently and manage workflow effectively
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable work ethic and attention to detail
Willingness to work across multiple workshop locations
Willingness to relocate to Port Lincoln
3rd Year Apprentice Opportunity - Full-time
We also have an opportunity for a Light vehicle Apprentice currently completing the required Trade Certificate and already employed within a workshop environment. The right applicant needs to have solid experience in servicing, a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and develop.
The successful applicant will:
· Be currently completing a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) Apprenticeship
· Have solid experience in servicing and general repairs
· Be eager to learn advanced diagnostics and fault finding
· Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
· Be reliable, punctual and take pride in their workmanship
· Be willing to work across multiple workshop locations
Apprentice will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in:
· Working across a wide range of vehicles
· Diagnostics and fault finding
· Diesel and 4WD repairs
· DPF and emissions systems
· Modern workshop diagnostic equipment and scan tools
Above award wages will be offered based on experience, capability and stage of apprenticeship. Travel Assistance for Education/Further Learning is also offered.
