Not a bad day to be the mechanic! 🍻🐾

We were lucky enough to take home a prize from the recent Scruffer Lovers Inc. raffle, and it’s safe to say Allan was pretty happy with the winnings! 😂

But beyond the prize, we’re really happy to have been able to support such a wonderful local rescue. Every raffle ticket helped dogs in need get the care, safety and second chance they deserve while they wait for their forever homes. 🐶💚

A massive thank you to Scruffer Lover’s Inc., everyone who donated prizes, and everyone who got behind the raffle and helped make it such a success.

Supporting local means more than just supporting local businesses. It’s supporting the people and organisations doing good things in our community, too. 🐾

And naturally, no Kemp Automotive winner photo would be complete without a four-legged supervisor making an appearance. 😂

Thanks for everything you do, Scruffer Lover’s! 💚🐾

What happens when we're not out on the road fixing your vehicles? 🛠️

We foster rescue dogs!

As a completely mobile mechanic service, home is also our base of operations. That means it's pretty normal to find tools, spare parts... and the occasional foster puppy making themselves comfortable in the most unexpected places.

Today's choice? Little Hamm, who decided the basket of scrap parts was the perfect spot for an afternoon nap. Safe to say he approved of the accommodations! 😂

We're incredibly proud to support rescue dogs by giving them a safe place to land while they wait for their forever families. It's one of the biggest passions our family shares, right alongside helping keep our customers on the road.

Thanks for supporting our small family business. Every job you trust us with helps us continue doing what we love, both on the road and at home. ❤️

This is why we love what we do!

There's no better feeling than knowing a customer leaves with confidence in their car and confidence in their mechanic.

Thank you, Lisa, for trusting Allan with your Cruze and for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. We truly appreciate your support. 🚗🔧

One of our regular customers came to us with running faults and drivability issues on her Holden Cruze.

After diagnosing the problem, we found the incorrect spark plugs had been fitted. The plugs were replaced with the correct NGK specification for the vehicle, and the ignition system was reassembled with the appropriate components.

Using the correct parts isn't about buying the most expensive option. It's about fitting the parts the engine was designed to use. Incorrect or low-quality components can lead to poor performance, fault codes, reduced fuel economy and repeat repairs.

We believe in diagnosing the fault first, fitting quality parts, and showing our customers exactly what we find.

Thanks Lisa for trusting Kemp Automotive with the repair and allowing us to share the results. 🚗

Not every day is spanners and breakdowns 🔧

Today we swapped the tools for some throttle time and headed out riding with the kids — a bit of dirt, a bit of noise and lots of fun.

Being a local, family-run business means we’re not just out here working in the community… we’re part of it. Days like this are how we reset and spend time together before getting back into it.

We know everyone’s got their own way of switching off —
what do you get up to on your downtime? 👇

Always love hearing what keeps our local community ticking.

We really don’t want to have to post something like this, but unfortunately a recent experience has pushed things past our usual patience and we need to address it clearly.

This is a gentle reminder that non-payment and ghosting invoices will not be tolerated.
We understand life happens and unexpected costs come up. If you need a hand, we are more than happy to work with you — payment options (including Afterpay) can be arranged beforehand if you communicate with us.

That said, communication is everything.

If you can’t pay your invoice on time, just reach out. We’re reasonable people and always willing to sort something out where there’s honesty and communication.

What’s not okay is ignoring invoices or going silent after work has been completed.

If an invoice is left unpaid and we receive no response, we will take steps to recover what is owed. Any costs associated with this process may be added to the outstanding balance.

We’re a small family business, not a free service. We show up, do the work properly, and expect to be paid fairly for it.
Respect goes both ways 👍

Thank you to all our loyal, genuine customers who always do the right thing — we truly appreciate you.
