John Deere Grader fitted out with a single camera Proxicam Pedestrian Detection System and an External Alert.

Headed to a large Solar Farm project to join a fleet of previously fitted out machines.

Quick throwback to this neat little install we completed for Campbelltown City Council

This John Deere tractor has been fitted with:

4x Proxicam AI Pedestrian Detection Cameras

1x Orange / Red Beacon - Changes from orange to red when the system detects a human within the pre-calibrated exclusion zone.

1x External Alert - Screams "WARNKNG PEDESTRIAN" when a human is identified within the pre-calibrated exclusion zone.

The external alert has been wired into the tractor to only activate when the PTO is activated.

This means that unless the tractor is moving a field, the beacon will change colour, the operator will be alerted internally, but the external alert wont startle people - This makes sense for this tractor as it regularly travels along roads such as Campbelltowns' Queen Street and the system would detect pedestrians kn the footpaths.

The upcoming fleet wide rollout of the Proxicam Pedestrian Detection System will be installed, calibrated and monitored by the Charge team to ensure on-going safety standards are upheld.

The Mack Civil team have made it known that the most important assets on any construction site are human beings!

Together, we aim to ensure that every worker, and pedestrian, on a Mack Civil site goes home to their loved ones each day!
